Come stay in an almost 4,000 square foot house on a private lot of almost 12 acres on All-Sports McCollum Lake. The house features open cathedral ceilings and beautiful wood finishes on the walls and flooring. Walk into an open floor plan with a fully stocked kitchen and large living/dining room, with views of the lake from the many large windows. Enjoy a relaxing evening in the living room by the fireplace. Off of the living room is a walkway that leads to an octagon shaped deck with views of the lake. The master bedroom has a king bed with on suite and jacuzzi tub are on the main floor as well. The upstairs features an open loft leading into a bedroom wih twin over twin bunk beds. The downstairs has a second kitchen with living/dining room. It is a walkout to the large yard leading to the lake. There are 2 bedrooms with king beds in the basement as well. This house is big enough to enjoy yourself and have some privacy for larger groups/families. There is laundry on the main floor as well as an attached garage. Above the attached garage is a bonus game room.
The house has radiant heat, central AC, and a home generator.
There are 2 docks to fish or boat off of. Enjoy many activities including kayaking, boating, fishing, hiking, or riding trails. McCollum is just north of tons of protected state land for riding, hiking, and enjoying nature.
You can also enjoy a day trip to Alpena and many activities located along Lake Huron, which are both only a 45 mintue drive.

Summary: Loved this place, we were in the area for a family wedding which took up our time. Since we couldn’t truly enjoy the lake and amenities we will certainly be back! Thanks for such a pleasant stay!

Summary: Very beautiful property. We were pleased to find the house was well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Our kids said the house was perfect. It was very clean and the beds very large and comfortable! You can tell the owner takes pride in providing a nice experience for renters. Only one issue we had was the basement was rather warm. I don’t think there was air conditioning down there. I didn’t call the owner to find out so my mistake

Summary: My large family and I rented this home for a long weekend. The home was clean, spacious and the view was beyond beautiful. We had plenty of space for our large group & Victor was very accommodating to anything that we needed. My family and I enjoyed the two decks, kayaks, paddle boat & the game room located above the garage. With that said, be sure to bring bug spray as the mosquitos were horrible. There were also a ton of mayflies that would flock to windows and doors if any lights inside the home were on & sneak inside at any chance they could. However, that’s part of being up north on a lake. The water pressure seemed a little low, but manageable & we did not find a remote to the downstairs tv. Luckily, we brought our Apple TV with us to hook up. We loved our stay & are considering staying again in the near future & you should too!

Summary: Every year we plan a long weekend with the extended family. This house was the perfect fit for all of us. We did some ice fishing and sledding right from the property.

Summary: A large group of us stayed at this location, and I have to admit the property is great, and overall well taken care off. There are some things that I would change, such as having new dish sponges available, better quality paper towels, and more; to make sure that the grill is ready and clean, firewood for the firepit. Other than that it was good.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with our family and our in-laws. There were 5 adults and 4 kids (1, 4, 6 and10). The house was beautiful, better than the pictures. It was also a very functional layout which allowed from some separation. The kids were upstairs, master was on main level (with crib) and grandparents and sister/brother in-law downstairs. All areas had a full bathroom plus an extra half bath on main level. The open floor plan was great and plenty spacious for our group. The main kitchen was fully stock and found everything we needed (even a high chair). We did not use the downstairs kitchen much outside of the fridge for beverages. Since we cooked all our meals, we certainly got good use out of the kitchen. Note there aren't too many options for takeout or restaurants close by, >20-30min but we never wanted to leave the beautiful property. We made one trek to Meijer (~40 min)the first day and only popped over to Fairview (~20) once to grab a few extra things at their grocery store. They have a Weber grill (yes the igniter is not working but they had a long lighter inside cabinet so wasn't a problem for us) located on a great deck that overlooked the lake. Was a great place to watch the sun set. The garage and bonus room was also useful. The garage doors are really tall so we could pull straight in with a cargo box on top to pack/unpack, I'm really jealous. I would recommend getting the golf cart if you are staying a while (we were there 11 days) as the walk down the water can get cumbersome. Its about a football field length each way...and a hill back up to the house. I would recommend charging the cart when not in use as the batteries don't last all day but was easy to just plug it in the garage when we came up to the house. We brought our pontoon and utilized both docks. Note it is a bit shallow right at the dock so we had to pull the motor up before making it all the way in. Since its was shallow though its easy to jump out and manually move it. The lake was great for tooling around and watersports. None of us are fished, so can't comment on that aspect. During the week, we were typically the only boat out and about. Labor day weekend, maybe 10 total boats/jet skis out, so overly not busy by typical lake standards. Overall was an amazing get a way and is on the short list for next year. Host was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had.
