Rest peacefully surrounded by acres of woodland fronting Lake Hyco with an enchanting view of the lake, the woods, and, occasionally, deer. Relax and splash with your children or guests in an 18x36 heated swimming pool (or just go jump in the lake!).
Sun bathers can retreat for a while to the covered open air refreshment center by the pool. It features a refrigerator, overhead fans, glider chairs (and an outdoor shower)- all perfect for relaxed time for fun and sharing. Enjoy the lighted pool by night including its solar powered tiki torches, A spacious enclosed pet lot adjacent to the pool keeps your pets nearby.
The lake house, which has central air conditioning, has four bedrooms and a loft above the living room (which has four single beds for children only). The downstairs has two bedrooms (each with a king-size bed), a bathroom with a walk-in shower, a half bath, a laundry room and a small game room with a TV and a bundle of games and books. The upstairs features a large living area with a big TV, a kitchen (which has all the amenities and utensils), a bathroom, and two bedrooms with queen size beds.
Dine or snack outside on the upstairs deck which has a gas grill, deck chairs, and a patio table, {Strategically placed gates on the upstairs deck allow your pets to go outside within a gated area or even down to the fenced in pet area below without your supervision.)
Feeling energized? Like to swim in the lake? {Steps lead down into the lake from the dock,) Paddle board? Fish? Kayak? Canoe? The equipment to enjoy all or any of these is available for your use in the dock area. You can also just relax, enjoy your favorite refreshment, and savor the experience of the lake.
The large dock on the lake has a fully equipped dock house (with a round table, refrigerator including ice , microwave, coffee maker and, yes, an air conditioner!) . The dock is a short 6 min walk from the lake house down a concrete walkway (lit up by solar lights at night) and a short crush and run path. Need pampering? Take the fun Key West golf cart right up to the dock!
Looking for entertainment? The Caesars Virginia Casino in Danville is 36 minutes away. Virginia International Raceway (VIR) is 22 minutes away. (Parking for a vehicle trailer is available on the premises,). Tunnel Vineyards (which offers wine tasting, food and, often, live music) is 30 minutes away. The picturesque town of Milton, 10 minutes away, offers one of the best pizza places around (Aunt Millie’s), an art gallery, a craft beer garden, and a couple of shops all clustered around the main street. Pontoon boats are available for rent by two local boat companies. (If you have your own boat, the lake authority has an efficient boat ramp nearby and our dock has cleats where you can tie up your boat.)
