Private year-round escape perfect for getaways and family gatherings. Spacious recently-built six bedroom home on wooded acreage that surrounds a sunny yard with in-ground heated swimming pool. This property is not available for weddings or high school/college events. The minimum age to rent the property is 27.
Six bedrooms including bunk room perfect for kids with full + twin bunk bed sets. Large game room / den opens on to screened porch overlooking the woods and backyard pool.
The pool will open for the 2025 season on May 9 and will close on Sept 22.
The house has a three bedroom/two bath main floor area with open kitchen/living/dining room, large closed in deck for group dining with heat and AC, laundry room and large primary suite. Downstairs is an expansive game room and den with ping pong and foosball tables, a 75" TV and three sofas, a bunk room that sleeps 10 with private bath, a half bath and a large screened porch with outdoor living area that overlooks the pool. Attached and accessible from both the house or a separate outdoor entrance is a two bedroom, one bath apartment with its own kitchen and open living area, washer/dryer and private screened porch.
The in-ground pool with tables, umbrellas and chaise lounge chairs is in a large open back yard with great afternoon sun exposure. The yard is surrounded by dense woods that offer complete privacy. Across the street is a lakefront nature preserve; down the street is the trailhead of a walking path through the woods to a Lake Michigan beach. One mile away is West Side County Park, with amenities that include a playground, public beach, restrooms, and lawn area / playing field. The charming towns of Douglas, Saugatuck, Fennville, and South Haven are a short drive away.
You'll have access to the entire house, yard and pool. We are close by and available by email, text or phone, but will otherwise stay out of your way! The pool will open for the 2025 season on May 9 and will close on Sept 22.
After booking is confirmed, guest and host will execute a separate rental agreement. It is a standard contract that is required by my insurance company and shouldn't contain any surprises.

Summary: We have been staying here annually for the last 3 years to celebrate Christmas. The house accommodates 20 of us comfortably. Mike and Michelle are great to work with. We've agreed to come back in 2025.

Summary: The fireplace in the living room didn’t work and the coffee maker also didn’t work. Had to bring the coffee maker from the apartment to the main area to accommodate everyone! Also would be helpful to have instructions on how to work the TVs! Us older folks are not up to date on the newer technology!

Summary: The property was fabulous from the moment we drove up the quaint gravel driveway! Exquisitely furnished with a kitchen filled with all one needs to tend to and entertain a large and varied group. Spots to gather inside and out. Privacy and quiet, as needed.

Summary: This home we have rented two years in a row and we never do that! It is the perfect spot for us. Most of us are 2-4 hrs away. We have a week of sibling time and then we host a family reunion of our kids and grandkids. It’s perfect!

Summary: This house was great for our multifamily get-together. There were 20 of us total, with kids ranging from ages 1-13. The kids' bunk room was so fun and was sure to be a memory-maker for all the cousins. The backyard was set up perfectly for us - the fenced-in pool, the two fire pits, the grill, the grassy area, the lovely landscaping amidst the privacy of the surrounding woods... it was all so delightful! We also loved the large dining room area with the super long table! That was awesome to have the kids playing cards in there while the adults prepared the meals. Ping pong and foosball were definitely enjoyed many times! The attached apartment was very nice and worked great for grandparents to come along and also have a little quiet space away from all the kiddos. We loved that this house was within walking distance to the beach, about a block or so of walking on the road to the beach access parking lot, then a lovely scenic trek through the woods that ended in gorgeous Lake Michigan. All in all, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this property, especially for a large group.

Summary: We had a weekend getaway with 3 families that this property was perfect for! The kids were entertained by the games in the basement lounge, backyard and of course the pool. The grill and fire pit areas were a hit and the porch dining allowed everyone to enjoy meals together with space to spare. The location is close to all of the nearby places we were planning to visit, but still felt really private. The house folder had wonderful information about the area and addressed all of the house info. What a fun and relaxing holiday weekend!

Summary: Our family of 8 adults and 6 children (6-14) throughly enjoyed our week in Fennville. The kids loved the bunk room and the wonderful theater area. We loved the pool and the kids played in it daily. Shopping is nearby in both Saugatuck and Holland with plenty of good restaurants to choose from. We all enjoyed picking peaches at Cranes. Owners are especially responsive and gracious They are conscientious about the grounds and the house. We would return again.

Summary: The set up of the home was great for us with three families and 4 children from 8 to 12 years old. The bunk room is great along with the games. The pool is great. If I had a criticism it would be a lack of good lighting and prep space in the kitchen. We cooked most of our meals and were rather crowded in the kitchen. The dining porch was a nice addition for our family meals and after dinner games. We would stay there again.
