Summary: When we got there the back door screen door was broken and the door was unlocked. As two females we were afraid to go in as it looked like someone broke in to the place. There was a coffee cup on the back patio that was used. I sent an email to Vrbo that went unanswered. There was a snowmobile in the driveway jacked up with a 4x4 piece of wood about 5 feet high which was so unsafe. They came there sometime when we were out fishing and put it in the garage. The lawn was not cot and was over a foot high. We had to walk thru that to get to the dock so our shoes would get wet every time. Trash in outside cans that you have to walk past all the time had flies and stunk as it was disgusting and had not been emptied in a long time. We did not have a key so we always had to keep the door unlocked when we left which was very scary for us. Did not feel safe there. I would like some sort of refund from the owner

Summary: Property high price due to Race , but I was glad to have it. Not a very gracious entry , it was Ok for 4 adults upstairs , dorm type bunks downstairs really kind of roughing it. Same circumstances would rent again. Terrific location to town and short drive to race and it is on the lake

Summary: Host very nice, responds quickly, he thought of everything. Kayaking fun, Great location, walking distance to food and fuel. Definitely would stay again

Summary: House was well stocked. The musty unfinished basement was a bit creepy so no one took advantage of the beds downstairs. Upstairs beds were very comfortable. House could have been a bit cleaner. Cobwebs in the entryway. Dogs next door ran over a few times and wouldn’t go home until we carried them home which was a bit annoying since our dog is old and doesn’t like other dogs.

Summary: I stayed with my crew while we had a siding project in Crandon. The kitchen is very well equipped. We cooked many big meals. Comfortable living room, great bathroom with a heated floor and luxurious shower. We were there late October so the pier was out but we enjoyed relaxing on the deck after long days of work. Way, way, way better than being cooped up in a hotel.

Summary: We were very pleased with all the things that were stocked at this rental in addition to the linens and towels; spices, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, storage bags and containers, air fryer, etc. The house was very nice and updated with a beautiful view of Lake Metonga. It was nice to be able to either sit on the back porch or sit on the couch in the living room and watch the lake. We really enjoyed our time here. Will keep this rental on our list to rent again.

Summary: A. The directions to the place are perfect. Impossible to miss the large, well-lit driveway and garage. B. The listing doesn’t mention air conditioning (or, more accurately, the complete lack thereof). The basement is about 10 degrees cooler than the main floor. C. The pontoon boat shown in one of the photos is not accessible to guests. D. Instructions on how to lock the entrance door from the outside: just press the “UltraLoq” button on the bottom of the device. E. By all appearances, the place was completely gut-rehabbed (remodeled) in 2013. Everything looks to have a decade of use in 2023. F. The property manager was very responsive to inquiries, answering within 15 minutes. G. The place is well-kept, clean. All of the drawers and cabinets are stocked. H. There is some kind of sump pump that activates once in a while — it can be startling to hear the noise of it in a quiet, empty cottage in the middle of the night! I. The wraparound deck is nice. Plenty of seating for viewing the lake, enjoying the breeze. There’s also a fire pit, but I didn’t check to see if there’s any firewood. Speaking of fire, the living room fireplace is also off-limits to guests. And the use of fireworks is also prohibited on the property,

Summary: Wonderful property on the lake. Perfect for a family getaway. Lake was clear and great for water activities. Appreciated having access to yard games, kayaks, and Lilly pad. Kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. Only recommendations were to have stairs or ladder going into lake from dock and trimming the trees in front for a better view of the lake from the yard. Crandon was also a fun little town with good places to eat.
