Summary: The house was clean and spacious; beds were comfortable. Kitchen amenities, though, were just okay. While there were sufficient dishes and silverware, it lacked other items. For example, the one and only pan for cooking breakfast may have once been a “non-stick” pan but its “non-stick” days are definitely done as the surface was worn and heavily scratched. We expected better of a VRBO at this price point.The parking situation was not optimal. The driveway itself which services two rentals is a little steep and long. As we were towing a boat trailer, it was impossible to turn around in the space allotted for actual parking, necessitating the challenge of backing up the driveway. And the parking area itself was tighter than expected given that the listing states the property accommodates 5 vehicles. With folks occupying the neighboring property which shares the parking area, it was tight. I would add that the dock was totally unusable as a dock for boating purposes. While the listing does state that the lake water levels fluctuate during the year, the dock was at least 12 to 15 feet above the water level making it impossible to use for boating purposes. Since dock access was one of the main reasons we chose this particular property, we were frustrated and disappointed.Last but not least, communication with the property host was disappointing as several questions were not answered.

Summary: Everything was wonderful. Plenty of beds. The neighbor is very close next door but it worked out smoothly. Distance to town is the only downside but it’s still a great waterfront home.

Summary: I really enjoyed my stay at Lakeside Hideaway. The rooms were a great size, beds were comfortable and it was great to be on the water. Only negative was the hot tub is a little small for more than two adults and there was some bugs downstairs.
