Perfect getaway spot…..100 m to Lake Simcoe where you can enjoy year round activities, from swimming and boating in the summer to skating, snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter, on one of North America’s favourite lakes.
Sit on the private upstairs balcony in summer and enjoy watching the beautiful boats coming into our bay from Friday Harbour and other marinas, while overlooking the park and beach. In winter, amazing views of the ice fishing on North America’s most popular lake.
Located in a quiet family friendly neighbourhood, with a mix of full timers and cottagers. Our house welcomes you with a bright and immaculately clean open concept floor plan, 9 foot ceilings on the main floor. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge, freezer with automatic icemaker, stove, oven, microwave, coffee makers (drip and Keurig) toaster, cookware, dishes and cutlery for up to 8 guests.
Central Air to ensure your comfort during summer. Gas furnace and gas fireplace for toasty winter getaways too. We are on city water and sewers so no worries about drinking water or a septic system. Hot water on demand ensures enough for everyone to shower or bath.
Every room has a lake view. Master with private ensuite and balcony overlooking the huge yard, creek and the lake. Kids will enjoy a creek full of minnows, ducks, turtles and fish in the Spring and Summer.
Our home has 3 decks to overlook the lake, a natural gas BBQ, patio and picnic table, outdoor seating and lounge chairs, two patio umbrellas and beach toys, as well as a fire pit with starter wood supply provided.. Bring your own additional firewood or pick it up in town on your way in.
High speed Internet throughout the house, with a 65” Smart/Roku TV in the family room, 55” Smart TV in Primary Bedroom equipped with an Amazon Firestick for your use. 32” TV/DVD combo in the bunk bed room, DVDs and games on hand for your enjoyment.
A dedicated workspace awaits you with desk, chair, and wireless charging lamp so you can work if need be while on vacation.
Five minutes to the boat launch if you want to bring your own boat. It’s a five minute drive into Alcona, where you’ll find Sobeys, No Frills, Canadian Tire, LCBO, Tim Hortons and Shoppers Drug Mart, along with a variety of restaurants. Drive another 10 minutes to major shopping malls, more great restaurants and an OHL arena located in Barrie. 15 minutes to Georgian Downs Casino.
Friday Harbour, with it’s world class restaurants, golf course, boat and jet ski rentals and year round events is a 10 minute drive away.

Summary: There were 5 ice fisherman staying over on Feb 21 2024. The location of this house was perfect for our purposes…only 100 yards from the Lake Simcoe access point on the Ninth Line. This was without doubt the nicest short term rental we have ever had on this yearly trip. I would love to give some tips on improving your operation but honestly, everything already was perfect. The owner’s son was kind enough to come over and show us how to get the Leaf game on. He was extremely helpful! We caught some perch, had a great fish fry, watched the game and collapsed LOL. Communication with the host Lynette was over the top. She even left bacon, eggs, pizza, bread , butter etc. for us. All in all, a tremendous spot! Hope to return next season and do it again. Wonderful!!!

Summary: Lilypad lookout was nothing short of exceptional! The house was immaculate, beautifully designed and filled with all the amenities one could ask for. The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the living area was very spacious and inviting. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged creating a cozy atmosphere. Inside and out! Lynette was so welcoming. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The hospitality we received was unparalleled. Summary: Lillypad Lookout exceeded our expectations. House is amply furnished, kitchen is well-stocked with implements and our hosts were wonderful with clear instructions and welcoming food in the refrigerator. Also great landscaping and location, within walking distance of 9th line beach and the expansive Innisfil Beach Park. Our family guests were also impressed. A wonderful stay and looking forward to a future return.

Summary: Our family of seven and a puppy LOVED staying at this home! Three generations of Americans and Canadians have been friends since a Masonic Lodge exchange started in 1979, and the fathers that started our friendships are now 85 and 79. We would usually see each other at least once/year until the pandemic. This weekend was a long-awaited reunion for everyone, but especially the parents. We ate, laughed & shared stories the entire weekend at this gorgeous house on Lake Simcoe! Lynette thought of everything, including dog bowls, poo bags, and a fleece blanket for our puppy. The house is perfectly appointed with everything we needed. The open first floor design was perfect for our needs! During down time, my husband and puppy took walks to the beach and out on the frozen lake. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, and the sunrise over the lake is absolutely gorgeous from the second floor balcony! We had easy access to a grocery store, liquor store, Costco, and the Friday Harbour for a brisk walk on their boardwalk. Lynette is a delightful and responsive host, and we will definitely be returning to this beautiful house when we visit again, hopefully soon!
