Fish for Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, and more on the 2,355 acres of Lake Minnewawa. Bring your boat or rent our pontoon to enjoy some time on the lake. Boat up to the local restaurants to grab a bite to eat and enjoy some local entertainment, or spend some time on the sandbar for some fun recreation.
With six acres of land and 1.5 acres of mowed lawn, there is plenty of room to play yard games, put up a tent, and more. Take a walk down the driveway and onto the state land, where there are ATV trails, state snowmobile trails, and an abundance of wildlife to enjoy.
There are many fun and adventurous activities to enjoy in the Lake Minnewawa, McGregor area. You can hunt on the state land, bike down the quiet gravel road, have a golf outing at the MN National Golf Course, BBQ out on the patio, or take a drive into town to enjoy some local shops. Our yard is equipped with a fire pit, outdoor seating, and also seating down by the lake.

Summary: I gave a two star on check-in because the code they gave me didn't work, had to call vrbo, the person had to get a hold of the property owner, and after about a 40 minute wait we got the right code to open the door. I was surprised that the property owner got back to us as soon as they did. I thought we would have to wait a lot longer. When we left the property we made sure that the door was not shut tight because the new code they gave me didn't work to unlock the door after we first got in. This was a very nice place to stay, friendly neighbor that gave us the history of the cabin. Had just about everything you need: yard games, charcoal for the Weber grill, sugar, coffee, flour, spices, battery charger to charge boat (because I forgot mine). If your looking for a nice place to have some peace and quiet, this would be your place. I like the pet friendly because I have two Yellow labs that had a lot of fun swimming in the lake and going for nice walks up their long drive way. The lake has a big sand bar that you can boat to a swim if you like and we caught a few nice fish to eat. We would highly recommend this place. We had a lot of fun, and would definitely go back again. Thanks for sharing your little peace of heaven on earth with us.

Summary: We are already planning on coming back again next year . The cabin is perfect for our needs quiet and clean . The front room is our favorite such a beautiful view to wake up to.

Summary: My husband and I just loved this cabin! The layout is perfect and very cozy plus everything you could ever need or want is provided. The fishing was excellent even off the dock...caught a nice 18" largemouth bass!!! We have already recommended this cabin to a friend and would return again ourselves. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us.

Summary: The pictures don’t do this house justice! It was super cute inside and had plenty of space for our family of 4. The house was very clean and we loved all of the “extras” the host had, from the welcome basket with snacks and extra toiletries to the yard games. My kids had a blast fishing off the dock and sitting around the fire pit. We wish we lived closer so we could visit again soon!

Summary: On arrival this place was by far the best we have ever stayed at. The owners have any and all information about the place ready for you. Let alone how CLEAN and well decorated as well. Summary: This is an amazing property , well maintained and peaceful. Plenty of room to stretch out and relax!! Lake access was a little rough but that was not anything to do with property just the public water access location. Otherwise dock and fishing experience were perfect. We caught 8 nice sized Northern decent sized sunnies. And a couple bass . One very big one. We are catch a release types so didn't clean any so can't speak to the experience of doing that. However we would definitely go back. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us!!

Summary: My husband, teen daughter, and our dogs had a wonderful stay. The cabin had everything we needed and a beautiful view of the lake. Fishing off the dock was great. Loon calls in the quiet of sunrise and sunset were beautifully eerie and peaceful. Property owners were very easy to deal with. We can't wait to visit again - longer next time!
