Positive: The host was so lovely, always responded and helped us when our tuk tuk tyre needed fixing. The room was spacious and comfortable. However I would recommend booking with aircon as there were quite a few mosquitoes (not the fault of the host at all). Great location.

Positive: I had such a relaxing stay at Villa Laliz that I ended up extending for an additional two nights. Yashanjali and her brother were incredibly hardworking and always reachable ,they even provided a thoughtful list of nearby places to eat, visit, and explore, which was very helpful. The room was spacious and beautifully designed exactly like the picture. it's arranged like a three-bedroom apartment with a shared kitchen. It's a rustic place with gardens surrounding. Like many traditional Sri Lankan homes, the roof wasn’t fully enclosed so nature sounds from the garden can be heard. The location is excellent—just a short tuk-tuk ride (around 250 LKR via PickMe) to Dewata Beach, Jungle Beach, and Galle Fort. It’s also near a bus stop and train station. While technically walkable, I’d recommend taking transport instead, as the roads are quite narrow and not ideal for pedestrians. I felt very safe during my stay, especially knowing the owner resides on a separate unit downstairs

Negative: The only suggestion I have that would make this place perfect is to upgrade the toilet settings . To improve the water pressure in the shower, as it was quite low. Besides that I definitely recommend the place

Positive: 100 % recommend. Family hospitality was amazing, a cold fruit juice on arrival, aunties even made me breakfast. Hosts attention to guests and to detail wonderful such as having salt & sugar available in the shared kitchette and giving me locations for sights and restuarants. Comfortable bed & pillows, even a bed side lamp, so pleasant instead of bright lights. Really hot shower. Best value I've found in Srilanka. I really felt valued as a guest

Positive: We booked Villa Laliz for two nights but ended up staying for five because we loved it so much! room was very comfortable and felt just right for us. garden is beautiful and creates a very relaxing atmosphere. The owners are extremely kind and friendly they also shared useful information about the Galle area. Dewata Beach is just about an 8 minute walk from the villa, which was perfect for us. I highly recommend Villa Laliz to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming place to stay near Galle!
