Positive: Excellent breakfast choice including salmon. Freshly baked bread ordered by guest night before. Very welcoming host. Stunning location. Very spacious room with balcony with a scenic view. Tea coffee making facilities in room.
Negative: I cannot fault this accommodation apart from the option of an extra pillow would have been more comfortable for the stay. We were only staying 1 night (unfortunately) so didn’t ask our host but I’m sure she would have supplied this if requested

Positive: Fantastic location, lovely owners who were really friendly. The food was amazing! The room was super, a coffee machine, pods to use and a kettle and an honesty bar. Parking for our motorbikes was a bonus. It was lovely falling asleep listening to the river nearby. Very sad to leave and hope we have a chance to return.
Negative: Nothing!!!!!!

Positive: This is our second stay with Tatjana and Ludwig, this time with kids. Gruner Baum is the perfect spot in the the Black Forest and everything about it, from the clean and comfortable rooms, the view of the forest and the delicious breakfast, are unmatched. Tatjana and Ludwig are gracious, entertaining and funny. They were always available to help with anything we needed. Highly recommended for couples or families. Tatjana, next time will be sooner than 11 years!
Negative: The wifi on the third floor was sketchy at times.

Positive: We had a warm welcome at the Landgasthaus Gruener Baum. The room was nicely furnished, spacious and comfortable, with a private balcony overlooking the valley. We stayed for two nights and ate in the restaurant both evenings – the food was delicious! We would strongly recommend it for a stay in Simonswald.
