Positive: Great quiet location just around corner from food night market. Very peaceful hotel.

Negative: Breakfast was good but evening meal not so much. Concrete room decor didn't work for me. Air conditioning a little loud.

Positive: Great location, decor, bedrooms, roof top bar and pool, à la carte breakfast and exceptional staff. An ATM at the airport ate my credit card when we arrived and the staff moved heaven and earth to ensure it was recovered the next morning. Highly recommend the Lao Poet as a base to explore Vientiane, close to the Mekong River and the main tourist attractions.

Negative: Nothing.

Positive: Breakfast was awesome. I had a suite which was spacious and very nice. Best of all was how nice and accomodating the staff was. Location near Mekong River, restaurants, and night markets was great.

Negative: There was no regular TV, you had to bring a thumb drive to watch TV. I get my news via the internet and I am mostly a reader so this was not a big issue,

Positive: This hotel is charming and has a lovely vibe. The rooms were very comfortable, and spacious. The staff were lovely, the breakfast was probably the best we've had anywhere in our long trip through south east asia and the location was brilliant. I highly recommend this place.

Positive: This was a lovely little hotel in the centre of Vientiane. Beautifully decorated, comfy beds, lovely roof top pool with bar, fantastic staff and service and tasty breakfast. We loved it!

Negative: Nothing - we thought it was fantastic

Positive: very nice infinity pool at the rooftop, with a few loungers and a bar nearby; there's another (speakeasy) bar at the rooftop area as well (opens in the evening and is externally owned); very nice design to the hotel and rooms; helpful and expedient staff; great location at the heart of downtown

Negative: the wifi was either terrible or not working; my room did not have much of a view but I was on floor 4, facing another building. Perhaps the higher floors may offer some views; the bathroom had one of those sliding doors which doesn't quite lock in - not sure why you'd use this type of door on a bathroom...
