Positive: Lappean Lohi is a real fishing camp. The breathtaking setting is located just south of the confluence of rivers Tornio and Muonio. The accommodations are plain but very clean and comfortable. The great breakfast offers a large variety of choices with exceptionally good blackbread. There is a cafe that serves excellent coffee and fresh pastries all day, and also functions as a gift shop with locally sourced gift items, as well as items that you may have forgotten to pack with you. The staff is cheerful, friendly and remarkably accommodating: They connected us with a local historian, who joined us for a dinner day later. The chef and his very capable staff were able to serve a lovely dinner for 14 on very short notice. And then there is the Nature: the never ending daylight, the sound of the forever running ancient river, the wildflowers by the road that grow before your very eyes, the placid reindeer who are totally indifferent to your presence...
Negative: The blood thirsty mosquitoes.

Negative: No ventilation but the window, didn't sleep well because of this. This might be a future deal-breaker depending on the season.

Positive: Great location in itself and also bonds nicely with the alternative coastal road if you want to avoid the main road. Drying room saved my day.
