Vintage Farmhouse apartment home on 2nd story of an old Farmhouse built in 1875 over looking downtown Crystal Lake. Restaurants and coffee shops, bars, shopping all walking distance within 2 minutes. 2 parking spaces. Vintage 1875 farmhouse converted to apartment home with vintage finishes and updated bedding, linens and modern couches. Very quiet with no shared walls or anyone above you. Animals welcome. Take the train directly from downtown Chicago. Browse the beautiful streets and enjoy the local beaches and many parks around. You can walk everywhere from this home. No car needed for a great little getaway or work from here for a month or two.

Summary: The apartment is everything people described. Unit is huge, lots of storage space, minimal decorations (less temptations for our 4-legged family member), close to everything in Crystal Lake, etc. Brent was responsive to any question we asked of him and provided us assistance as needed. If you're like me the more details the better, so some notes/details to consider: If you're there for work, there isn't really a desk set up, but we made it work. Being originally from the NW suburbs we should have known the weather is unpredictable. We had some nasty winter weather while we were there unfortunately. The WEATHER made our stay less enjoyable. The stairs to the unit were not fun to navigate with our dog for potty breaks. Dealing with the salt dragged in every time we came and went made for a challenge of tidying up at the end of our stay. The living room didn't seem to get as warm as the rest of the place. Thanks to the fuzzy throw blankets provided we were able to cuddle up in front of the tv. Overall it was a great place to stay and we would definitely stay again, just not in the winter.

Summary: This was an awesome place for our family to stay at while visiting PWC in Crystal Lake. We really enjoyed staying in downtown Crystal Lake and having tons of great coffee shops, restaurants, and shops to visit and enjoy just a short walk away. The apartment had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our stay in Crystal Lake. You do have to climb a flight of stairs since this is a 2nd floor apartment, but this was not an issue for us.

Summary: This clean, hardwood floor, renovated farmhouse apartment was a central, convenient location for our family to gather. Arriving by train to downtown Crystal Lk , it's a 2 min. walk to the back entrance, leading up a staircase that may be a challenge, it's worth it! The uncluttered open design with many windows is refreshing. The lofty down bedding is so lovely & comfortable. A cool front in August, gave the chance to open updated windows with ease while clean, fresh prairie air circulates in each room. The cozy balcony is a nice perch to gather and enjoy a rooftop view. Young children definitely need supervision, there is a bolted door to access the balcony. Best restaurants, creative shops, nature trails and live theatre performances are all on the street you live on, in this relaxing getaway. Natural, simple, clean & convenient, this classic farmhouse provides you with a vibrant kind community. The owner is easily accessible & responds promptly. Thank you!

Summary: We stayed here for a few days and really enjoyed it. The historic structure of the apartment is great, and the decor leans into that in a very fun way. Accommodations were very comfortable. Property owner is responsive and helpful. The area puts this apartment over the top. It’s so convenient to the downtown Crystal Lake area. I would gladly stay here again!

Summary: We loved our apt. Perfect location walking distance to restaurants and Train station to downtown Chicago and Cubs game - deck was nice for morning coffee and nighttime cocktails- would definitely stay again !

Summary: Our stay was great! The pictures don’t do it justice and it’s much bigger than we expected! Nice attention to details. Everything was super clean and we felt right at home. We enjoyed the roof top deck and loved being in Downtown Crystal Lake.

Summary: The lock on the front door absolutely needs to be replaced. Took us over 10 min to get in. However once we got in I was totally surprised at how large this apartment was. It was super cute! Would suggest a deep clean of the bathroom and to wipe down the ceiling fans. I would definitely stay here again and wish I could have spent more time enjoying the outdoor deck.

Summary: My husband, dog and I lived here at 25 N Williams for entire month of April. We were so surprised at how spacious it is, tall ceilings, lots of windows, great storage, closets. We loved the rooftop patio and sat out there whenever the sun was out. So close to everything, hopped on the train for a day in Wrigleyville. Always had hot water, appliances are great, washer dryer in unit. Beds are comfortable and it’s a quiet place to relax. We loved our stay here and plan to come back. ❤️
