Large 2-storey house with lake view, sunny. Located in the middle of the village of Colonno. Beautiful kitchen open to the terrace, personalized furniture, comfortable and functional house.
Ideally located between Como and Menaggio, close to the piers for Bellagio, Varenna, Mennagio. 12 km from Villa Carlotta, 5 km from Lenno.
7 bedrooms, 4 of which have lake views. 2 spacious bathrooms. A separate WC on the ground floor.
Good bedding. Bright and spacious fitted kitchen open to the dining room. Tastefully decorated, sober and refined style. Active wood fireplaces on the ground floor.
Possibility to swim in summer in the lake on a furnished beach free access to Colonno access on foot downhill.
Garden terrace in front and on the side of the house.
Pedestrian village, the house is in the middle of the village (5 min of way to go down or to go up from the parked vehicle).
Very nice view from the house and the rooms. Quiet village. No road traffic noise. Ideally located on the lake.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay in Colonno. From every room i the house there is the most AMAZING view. Lots of big rooms, so perfect with family and friends. Easy to visit other small towns and only a short walk from a little local beach. We all agreed that the view, terrasse og cosy kitchen made the perfect holiday

Summary: This home is large and pleasant with some beautiful features like the updated kitchen and bathrooms. The outdoor space was very nice with gorgeous views of the lake and mountains. Unfortunately, the cleaning of the property was very sloppy and there were cobwebs in many places which detracted from the place. Due to the hot weather and lack of air conditioning, the stay could be much more pleasant with addition of some ceiling fans and some window screens so you can open the windows without all the mosquitoes coming in. Additionally, while the listing was accurate, it should have indicated that the location requires a car and it’s not suitable for travelers with mobility issues.

Summary: Colonno itself isn't too interesting, but close enough to more interesting villages like Lenno. The house is spacious and well equipped (two big refrigerators) with one exception: There is no automatic coffee machine (just Nespresso), but the Landlord informed us about that, so we brought our own. There is a large terrace with a splendid view on Lake Como. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house to friends. There is room for improvement though: Visitors should be informed explicitly that the house cannot be accessed by car and that you need to park your car in Via Capella which means that you need to walk to the house carrying your luggage.

Summary: We had a great time in this beautiful house during the Monza Formula 1 GP weekend, which is roughly one hour away from Colonno by car. Being with a group of 8 colleagues, we all had our own bedroom. There were enough faciltities to take a shower, so no queues in the morning. Waking up with a view on Lago di Como, observing the sun rise above the mountains on other side of the lake, is a geat experience. We spent our daytime at the circuit each day, so we didn’t get so see a lot of the surroundings. A pity, because the area is so nice. Worth coming back one day! In the evenings we used the well equiped kitchen (with a nice bar to hang out) as well as bbq outside to prepare our tasty meals and enjoyed them with a nice glass of Italian red wine. Great nights outside with a still a lovely temparature for the time of the year. Any downsides?! Not that we can think of... Or maybe the steep walk from the house uphill to where the cars were parked. This is simply not a home for disabled people. All in all, we have great memories of our short trip to Italy. Everyone loved the house! Clemence (the owner) and Cinzia (lady who showed us around) are friendly and helpful people. 5 stars it is!!!

Summary: We were a group of 4 people who stayed for 3 days as we were attending and working (photographer and hair and makeup for the bride) a wedding nearby. The house is very stylish and the owner is very relaxed about her lovely home (I get the feeling she wishes people to treat it like their own home). We were greeted by the housekeeper and shown everything and she was always on call if we had any problems. The downsides were only the level of steepness of the steps for accessing the property. As we were working as well as attending the wedding, we had lots of equipment with us and had no idea how hard it would be each day to take it up to the car and bring it back again at the end of each day, so previous advice from other reviewers is useful - really it is not for the infirm, or for heavy suitcases! It was worth it though as the house is very welcoming and comfortable. The internet worked for 2 hours on our first day then there was a problem and it was impossible to rectify so my 30 Euros was refunded with no problem. Also, just a little complaint (but really nothing serious) the lack of working light bulbs in table lamps and in the kitchen above the work surface meant that it was a little dark and I went around the house finding working table lamps to put by some of the beds - of course I replaced them when I left and also just a general lack of cleaning products and cloths as I do like to keep the place clean and tidy when I rent. The location was beautiful, but a car is needed as there is only the one little shop and bar plus a little fish restaurant within walking distance (up and down that hill again!) but really, this is not a problem if you have a car to venture further to eat out or shop for groceries. Summary: This property is a beautiful home, with lots of space, many bedrooms, a renovated kitchen, and a large patio, in the middle of a walking-only zone in a lake-side village. There is one small shop, one cafe / gelateria, and one trattoria within walking distance. It's a steep village, so be prepared for some stairs and don't bring a heavy suitcase! The house itself is very comfortable, and suited us well --- the beds were plentiful and well outfitted with linens (there is a fee per person for linens). Swimming was also close by, but for the lake ferries, you need to drive about 5km south to Argegno or other towns. Highly recommend!!

Summary: As the previous reviews have indicated,it is a beautiful house, in a beautiful Location with ample space for many. We were nine (4 adults and 5 children 2, 5, 6, 14 and 15) and we still had 3 unused bedrooms! The two spacious bathrooms each with a washing machine were immaculate and appeared new. Eating all our meals on the terrace with its beautiful view of the lake was a treat. The woman in charge of the key was lovely and accommodating to our arrival and departure. If you are looking for swimming, the Lido Di Lenno is the only place we found appropriate for smaller children that week. Plus it has wi-fi! Be sure to indicate to Clemence if you want wi-fi as we didn't know it wasn't available unless requested in advance and for an extra 30 euro. Also if you are older (as I am) bringing luggage and groceries down the very steep cobblestone hill was a challenge and going up and down daily Was hard on the knees! Plus our 2 year old found it hard. It IS steep!!! But there are cats to greet and very friendly older people along the way who Loved to talk with the children although. We spoke different languages. The barking dog late at night and very early morning was the only annoyance and for sleeping teens, the church bells ringing every 15 minutes was difficult but they survived! We truly loved the place and its gorgeous surroundings and all the interactions in advance with Clemence couldn't have been better. Thank you!
