Luxurious, spacious and private home with Mountain and Lake View. This lodge has the LOCATION LOCATION LOCATTION that travers are looking for!! Easy drive to the house, grocery stores , and restaurants, And still private with plenty of parking, with All the outdoor experiences right outside your door. Horseshoes ,tether ball and swimming. Right across the street. Hiking, Biking or a walk or run. We furnish 4 fishing poles ,double and single kayak and one large canoe. With lots of Water Flotations to enjoy in the clean, perfect water temperature amazing lake. Fire Pit with fire wood to have fun making S'mores ,singing and time together. Located in the NC foothills; 30 mins to Boone, 45 mins to Appalachian Ski Mountain.
Main level is approved for wheelchair access with comfortable entries and ramps. Main level features open living, dining table that seats 16 guests and an additional 3 or 4 at the breakfast bar. Kitchen has two ovens, stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and a wine refrigerator. Living area has a cozy leather pit sofa with curl up chairs around a warm fireplace and flat screen T.V. The main floor also has two bedrooms, one with king bed and ADA approved bathroom. Second spacious room has two queen beds with private bathroom. Also accessible on the main floor are a pool table, wrap-around deck with beautiful mountain and lake views, and gas grill.
Second floor has three large bedrooms. Master king size bed, private bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, private sitting and reading area with a futon that has a pull-out full bed. Second bedroom has two full size beds and private bathroom. Third bedroom has king size bed and private bathroom. All bedrooms come with a great view and satellite T.V.
Basement has two bedrooms, which share a large bathroom. First room has two sets of bunks (4 twins). Second bedroom has an additional two twins beds. This floor will keep anyone entertained with stone fireplace, large, comfy sofa, flat screen T.V., puzzle table, ping pong table and foosball. FUN! The basement has a second kitchen with refrigerator and sink. Exit to fire pit area and covered patio with hot tub and sitting area.
Stunning location with 55 miles of beautiful lake area. Plenty of activities to enjoy, including fishing, swimming, kayaking and canoeing from the dock (life jackets available for all sizes). You can rent a Pontoon Boat on the lake or bring your own boat or jet ski. Visit the beach parks and playground for the children, have a picnic, bike from the Cabin to nationally ranked bike trails. The home provides a complimentary Park Pass and a YMCA guests pass.

Summary: This is our second stay at this wonderful property. The hospitality of the host is outstanding, including delicious doughnuts upon arrival and support for taking advantage of local offerings. The home is comfortable with lots of amenities and activities suitable for a wide range of ages. The kitchen is well equipped. Kayaks and floats and dock access allowed us to truly enjoy the lake. The lodge provides for a relaxing and fun vacation or quick get-away.

Summary: We loved this gorgeous, spacious, well equipped home! And we will come back! Our host, Cindy, is very kind and responsive. The lodge's woodwork in the construcion and the interior decor was so impressive. We spent a lot of family time on the beautiful decks, in the hot tub, and around the massive dining table. We also enjoyed the kayaks and the canoe. It's a bit of a steep walk down to the lake but this Grammy simply used my hiking poles and it was all good.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was perfect for our large family. We loved the long table where we could all eat together and play games. The lake was a great place to play and we even rented boats that came right to our dock. The house was stocked with life jackets and towels for everyone. The hill down to the lake was quite steep but we used the golf cart quite frequently to get around having to climb the hill. We would definitely come back for another stay.

Summary: Is house was beautiful. It met well the needs of our seventeen family member. A little far from the water, But. The lake was enjoyable. Well stacked kitchen and the facilitis we're great.

Summary: We had a fantastic time our Wilderness Lodge! The amenities were amazing and we loved that the table accommodated our whole family. The cabin is well stocked with all the kitchen tools you might need to make a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Special thank you to the owners as well who were able to put the Christmas tree up just a little early so we could do our extended family Christmas celebration. We hope to return to the wilderness lodge for another Thanksgiving!

Summary: This was the perfect lodge for our women’s retreat. The beautiful home was welcoming and spacious. The age of our ladies ranged from 5 to 96 years and everyone felt at home. Thank you for the opportunity to visit for the weekend. Loved the whole experience, including the Welcome Board that greeted us upon arrival. It truly was a mountain top experience.
