WHAT’S NEARBY
You won't even have to leave the property in order to enjoy Lake Hayden since the home has a private dock from which you can swim or launch your boat. Golfers only have to drive seven miles into town in order to reach Hayden Lake Country Club, and the kids will no doubt get a kick out of Triple Play Family Fun Park (just seven miles away). Skiers can spend winter vacation on the slopes of Silver Mountain Resort, a 48-mile trek well worth the drive.

Summary: Getting to place during the night was a horrible nightmare. The directions they gave us were wrong, taking us down a really dangerous road that we ended up having to back out of so that we didn’t drive off a cliff with our children inside! THEN… The code they sent me to lockbox a bunch of times (email, app and via text) was wrong. So once we finally found the place (by ignoring the directions) it was the middle of the night 12:30am - after a full travel day, my kids were frightened and we couldn’t get into the cabin, it was dark, cold, they had to go to the bathroom. AND we had no phone service to call the company. My husband headed back up to hill, called them, and they couldn’t find our reservation (there is also no internet service whatsoever). Meanwhile I was back at the house, trying every door (unsuccessful) and then every window. Finally found a window and crawled in. For what we paid, I can’t believe the trauma we experienced. I didn’t expect this from a professional vacation company - we use pro companies so that we DON’T have experiences like this. For future guests, the directions need to be updated, and because they are sending guests to a remote location, they need to make sure there is proper signage to find the correct road (no street signs on any of them). Honestly, just don't arrive after the sun goes down. It is not worth the danger we experienced. We contacted the company several times afterward, and got ZERO response. Never booking with this company again.

Summary: Home was as described online, and location was excellent. BUT...the outside (steps to docks, and the docks themselves) were a great disappointment. It is quite obvious that these areas have suffered from years of neglect, are a very real safety hazard, and will leave you wondering how Vacassa could represent this property. (Other reviews mentioned this aspect of the property. None are understated and should be noted before renting.)

Summary: Good morning, Thank you for allowing us to rent your house for last weekend. We had a great time, despite the weather not being to nice. A couple things I wanted to bring up: 1) Dock looks like it must have collapsed within the last couple of weeks. Would have been nice to have this information communicated prior to arrival. I would also recommend getting someone out there ASAP to remove collapsed doc and live wires in the water. 2) Hot Tub was not usable, as the water color was brown and did not looked to have been cleaned in quite some time. 3) No outdoor firepit as advertised. Did have indoor firepit, but the wood provided was green and wet and was not burnable, which defeated the opportunity to use the indoor fireplace. 4) One of the bathrooms/ toilets was not useable downstairs. You have an incredible property and beautiful view, just wished the items above would have been pointed out to us prior to us renting and spending a lot of $ to enjoy the house. Want to ensure future guests have a clear expectation prior to renting in the future. Thanks Graham

Summary: Cabin was great except smell of a dead animal on first floor, toilet dirty, stairs and dining room floor dirt. Was not happy about cleaning costs because of above-mentioned conditions.

Summary: The house is a wonderful location I’d you’re looking to get away in nature. The beds and couches are cozy. There are basic safety issues that need maintenance throughout the house and property especially if you have little ones with you. A bit if a shame for such a beautiful home to be neglected as such.

Summary: This was a great house, we had a wonderful time here. After reading other reviews we were afraid of what this house was going to be like when showed up. While yes the dock and stairs are old, they were not near as bad as others had made it out to be but defiantly could use some maintenance. The views were outstanding from every part of the house or deck. Also the pictures are outdated as there is no longer a slide on the dock, a fire pit and the kitchen has changed.

Summary: We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. The only cons were it was hard to find in the dark, the upstairs bedroom could use a new mattress and the dock some TLC. It was spacious and a lovely older cabin. It was very hot when we were there so didn't use the fireplace (which was beautiful) or the hot tub. The kitchen was well furnished and it was nice to have an additional full size fridge downstairs. Coming up from the dock is quite a hike which was fine for us but just something to keep in mind.
