Summary:
This stunning VIlla captivates with your equipment, size and location.
An object that fulfills all the wishes of a single house in the middle of Toscana.
Anyone looking for a direct approach to nature in Tuscany will get their money's worth here.
However, purchasing as a single supplier should be well planned. The next but excellent shopping area is about 30 minutes away by car.
From good steak to alltasware, everything is available in the small Carefoor.
An oasis in which you like to return to the sea or to Siena after an intermediate trip.
The location, the house of the pool, the barbecue, the table tennis table and much more make the stay in flight pass.
Adventurous is the last section of the journey. However, it is far from paved roads as in the normal environment.
The handling of this last step was feasible for our VW Sharan, but there could be bottlenecks here with a sprocar or deeper vehicles.
'
In total, our stay with us was a positive Tuscan full experience thanks for the good care and the stay in this beautiful villa.

Summary:
We're a family of 4 (kids 8 and 1) and stayed at the house for 3 weeks in July/August, had just an amazing time.
The house is super nice and a very quiet area, perfect to relax and just hang out by the pool all day.
Our son absolutely loved it (we think our 1yr old did too ;) )
The patio with lounge are perfect to for breakfast, lunch and dinner and to hang out whenever you need some shade.
The house is huge and since we only stayed as a family of 4 we had plenty of space everywhere, especially in the nice big pool.
John was very responsive whenever we had any questions before the stay. There's a super helpful folder with information on restaurants, shopping etc., everything you need.
During the stay Antonio, who manages the property, regularly stops by and takes care of the house, whenever we need anything we could just call or text him, he is super friendly, nice and helpful.
Overall we had an amazing 3 weeks, and since we're from California we're far away unfortunately, but would immediately come back any time.

Summary:
It’s always a challenge ( for us!) to find something different and special to make the most of a family break. For us that includes 14-30 year old kids.
Tuscany is special. The reviews importantly very very good.
This was outstanding.
Ok yes it’s a 2 1/2 hr drive from the airport or comfortable train journey for 2 of our gang. But worth the wait.
John has been very informative ahead of there trip and when booking. Antonio was so helpful when we were ringing ahead and on arrival to give us a detailed tour around the villa.
The villa itself was far more than we expected. Clean. Beautifully tidy. Spacious. The kitchen outstandingly well equipped. A pool bigger than your standard holiday apology. (Slightly salty to deter flies etc). Patios and all bakes and chairs on either side of the building. Both - especially one big enough to get out of the sun and relax and host dinner. So you can be by the pool, stay out of the sun or retire (get lost) in the bedrooms. (Ok the writer had the main bedroom with our own very large private patio / balcony).
A bottle and goodies left for our arrival complimented Antonio so we knew we had owners who genuinely cared about their guests. The copious notes of where to go etc was brilliant. (And accurate!)
We felt privileged to be staying here. We said so when we rang the everso helpful John help sort the TV out. (Satellite to allow us) to watch the cricket World Cup was a complete bonus. As was strong internet despite being rather remote.
The gardens are well tendered and the sunset - well if it’s as if the valley was built to specifically highlight the glorious dusk.
This is truly beautiful place - if you want to be out in the country (which we did). Yes it’s a good drive to a big supermarket but the you do the big shop. The fridges etc are well big enough to cope.
A bonus was the lack of mosquitoes but maybe we were lucky?
Definitely value for more. Definitely understated in the advert and absolutely just what we wanted.
Diolch! A s we say in Wales 🏴

Summary:
We really enjoyed staying in this house. Everything was so lovely; The view, the house, the garden, the pool, the table tennis in the cool basement. So much space, tasteful decoration, lovely kitchen, easy for all ages to entertain themselves. We did a few excursions which we enjoyed, but most of the time we were so comfortable in the house we wouldn't want to leave it. Finding the way to the house is not very easy, but so much worth it!

Like last summer we spent again 2 wonderful weeks in Podere Petrella. As a party of 10 (from 19 to 78 years old) each of us enjoyed every single moment. We love everything about the house and would love to return next summer. The house, the pool, the landscape, the owner , the local contact … everything is just perfect.

Summary:
Back in Holland with nice memories from the Chandler castle.
Splendid house! With the kitchen equipment you could start
a restaurant. A huge veranda in the shade with
long table. Big swimming pool. Effective oak tree
near the water also providing shade. The house,
veranda, terrace and swimming pool are clever combinated.
We had houses in Italy where we had to walk 100 mtrs and more
for the pool. Not convenient when you want a drink.
Vents on the ceiling in the sleeping rooms were perfect for
the night.
Children loved the huge collection of DVD’s for the evening.
I saw the fotographs of the building in 2002. Must have been
a real challenge. By the way the house in real is better than the
pictures on the web.
The last mile driving is a little bit bumpy but also increasing the adventure feeling.
Juniper the local contact is service oriented. Good guy.
With some experience in Italy with renting
holiday houses we would grade this house on number one!
This is Toscane at its best.

Summary:
I stayed in this vila with my husband and two young children (2.5 years and 8 months) plus both sets of parents.
We all had a fantastic holiday in this amazing villa which had everything you could ever want/need on a holiday. John and Angie even bought an inflatable boat for my son to use in the pool during our stay.
The accomadation is easily 5 star and was so incredibly spacious that we never felt on top of each other.
All the bedrooms are of equal size (other than the master) are big and beautifully decorated/furnished. As is every room in the villa.
We tended to hang round the pool rather than explore Tuscany but we don't feel as if we missed out in any way.
From the moment you contact John and Angie they make you feel so welcome. Infact, we felt it was more like renting from a friend than someone on the internet. John and Angie actually flew out to meet us the day we were leaving!
We would recommend this villa if you are looking for the perfect relaxing holiday with great company, superb views and amazing food and wine.

Summary:
This is a superb property. It is equipped to a very high standard, well maintained, spacious and situated in a fantastic setting with glorious views. The pool is large and is kept immaculately clean.
The drive down to the property from the main road is a little rough, but we had no problems with it and is perhaps to be expected given the privacy and isolation which the property enjoys.
We spent a lot of the time at the house, but there are plenty of beautiful towns nearby which are well worth visiting. We ventured further afield only once, to Siena, though Pisa, Rome and Florence are all within reach.
We enjoyed a decent, good value meal in Arcille and a wonderful, dearer but even better value, meal in Istia d'Ombrone.
I have no hesitation in saying that this is the best holiday of this type we have ever had and I thoroughly recommend this property.

Summary:
We rented this property for four weeks in July 2009, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We are a Norwegian family of five (all seasoned travellers); two adults and three children aged 1, 7 and 10, and we all had a wonderful time at this place. We have also had friends and family visiting, all of whom expressed their admiration for this fantastic property.
The house is beautiful both on the exterior and interior, very spacious and comfortable with all amenities you could ever wish for. It is obvious that the owners have put their hearts into making this an incredibly attractive property with an elegant, yet relaxed and homely atmosphere, appealing to every generation. There is a large 15-metre swimming pool and sun loungers on the pool deck. Very nice shaded terrace with a long table that seats 12-14 people, if needed. Pretty garden surrounding the house, with a lawn, a field and lovely flower beds with rosemary, sage and mint. We had wonderful weather every day of our stay, hardly any clouds and bright sunshine from early morning, with breathtaking sunsets in the evening. The soothing breeze through the valley makes the heat very bearable and we were pleasantly surprised that even with temperatures at times well over 30 degrees Celsius, it was always very comfortable and never too hot. The bedrooms stay comfortably cool with open windows/doors and closed shutters and ceiling fans at nighttime.
Fantastic views in all directions of a beautiful Tuscan countryside, with green hills, olive groves and vineyards, and farmland in the distance. One should be aware that the house is in a quiet and rural area, with the closest neighbour almost half a kilometre away and the closest (tiny) village a steep 1,5 kilometre walk/drive from the house, which means you need a car to get anywhere. We went on very enjoyable trips to the seaside at Castiglione della Pescaia, Monte Argentario and Elba, as well as Siena, Pitigliano, Pisa and Lucca, in addition to having dinner in several of the nearby villages/towns.
The owner has been a pleasure to communicate with ever since we first got in touch, and he has been very informative, accommodating and made us feel very welcome. In every caring detail in this house you notice that this is somebody's home, and not just a "professional rental property", which made all the difference to us. We truly feel that we have been very lucky to find this property and this owner, and give this place our warmest recommendations.
