Moncuquet Grange is a stone built barn and pigeonnier, commanding southerly views over the valley of the 'Petite Seoune', a particularly tranquil part of unspoilt south west France. Drenched in medieval history, the immediate area has several 'bastide' or fortified villages (Beauville, Puymirol, Tournon d'Agenais) offering colourful markets and lively evening festivites throughout the summer.
The contemporary styled living space is light, spacious and comfortable. The modern open plan sunny kitchen with granite cooking island, preparation area and breakfast bar, opens with full length glass sliding doors to a covered wooden terrace and pool, with wooden decking for enjoying a real in/out living experience with a panoramic view. A south facing terrace offers sun worshippers a piece of paradise and the parasol pines guarantee a shady spot for reading, dozing or just gazing at the buzzards wheeling down the valley. Walks can be taken from the house down into the valley and up to wooded hills on the opposite side of the valley. There are plenty of other local walks to be enjoyed. Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the barn. The attention to detail in the provision of crockery and cutlery was outstanding. The pool was superb and a must for a family with younger children , especially as we stayed during a heatwave. The views were stunning and our host was welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly

Summary: Had a lovely time in this villa. Wonderful views! Fully equipped with all you can wish for. Lesley the owner greeted us and made sure we had all the information we needed. The table tennis went down a storm as did the swimming pool especially with our teenage grandchildren. If you are looking for a peaceful location but not too far from days out this is perfect.

Summary: What a setting! Such an awesome view from a fabulous pool which is instantly accessible from the open kitchen and the rest of the house. We had an amazing week here as two families holidaying together. Could happily have stayed indefinitely. Communication with Lesley was fantastic, she was very helpful and informative. We hope to return but next time for longer! The pictures are amazing but still do not do this amazing house justice.

Summary: If you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of your busy life, this is the perfect getaway. Perched on top of a hill, this fantastic house offers you not only wonderful views of the surroundings, but also a quiet hideout to relax and enjoy the slow life of the remote hamlet of Moncuquet. We spend hours at the pool under the shading trees, reading a book and watching the kids enjoy themselves. The house was very spacious and big enough to host 2 families of 4. The kitchen provided us with all necessary amenities. Ping-pong table, netflix, a botlle of wine to welcome us, ... what more does one need?

Summary: We had a wonderful week. The children loved the pool and space to play. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and we enjoyed lots of meals looking out over the gorgeous gorgeous view.

Summary: We recently had a family holiday and what a great place, the views are stunning and the kids really enjoyed the pool. We had pleasant evenings sat out enjoying the local 'produce' and playing dominoes. Lots to do in the surrounding area for families from the bustle of Walibi land to messing about in boats on the Lot. It is tucked away in a secluded corner overlooking the valley but amenities are just a few miles down the road, really giving the best of both worlds

Summary: We had the most fantastic holiday here. The view was to die for and waking up every morning, throwing open the doors and stepping out, with a cup of coffee, was a treat indeed. The house is much nicer than the photos, with lovely walk-in showers and a spacious living room too. The kitchen is the best feature, with the sliding doors out to the seating area and on to the magnificent view. There is also a ping-pong table inside, in a very cool, stone-floored room, which kept everyone amused when it was too hot outside. Upstairs the master bedroom is very nice, with a lovely shower and small roof terrace with that awesome view again. It was so peaceful, hardly a sound, the perfect place to drink wine, watch the sun go down and relax. Lesley, the owner, was very lovely and we enjoyed chatting and getting to know her. We will definitely be back again. Thank you. Thank you!

Summary: We booked the Grange from a website we had used before, and liked the pictures and location - but were totally amazed at how wonderful it was in real life. Loads of space, everything you could wish for in a kitchen (for real foodies!) and a beautiful outside space with pool. We WILL be going back!
