Summary: Nicely appointed summer home. Cottage appeal but has all of the necessities of a restful stay. Besides how can you not beat being right on the water!

Summary: Excellent location. Directions were a bit of a saga and the address was different from than the one listed on VRBO (174 vs. 170) but we found it. Road to it was a bit crappy, steep, and narrow. But other than that the unit was great. Place was clean and stocked with basic necessities (laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, hand soap, toilet paper) which I wasn’t expecting based on description in VRBO. Check in was at 4 pm. Check out was listed on VRBO as 11 am but I got an email from owner stating that the cleaning crew shows up at 10am. Again - small potatoes. There are 6 twin beds and 1 queen. Brought our own sheets, towels, blankets, dish towels, and pillows. There is a washer and dryer in basement which enabled me to wash sheets to accommodate rotating family members. Place was clean, well stocked with incidentals ( cooking pans, spices, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, and even a blender)! WIFI worked great so I could check into office periodically and keep my email in box tamed. There’s a deck off of the back of the house with 2 recliners and 4 woven chairs for relaxing. There is a partial flagstone path leading down towards dock and water. Path is pretty steep and a challenge for my arthritic knee. But it was doable. Dock was great to tie a raft to and just float enjoying the weather. Lake was pretty quiet. Met cousin of owner who lives on lake full time and was pleasant to talk with . We brought our own grill and gas but there is a full size one on premises that can be used. Fire pit with 4 chairs around it was used extensively every night. All in all a relaxing vacation in a clean and pleasant location! I would certainly rent unit again!

Summary: Our family had a great time at the lake house. There was a canoe and two kayaks to use and we enjoyed paddling around the lake. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals there and there’s even an extra fridge in the basement. The bedrooms aren’t fancy but functional with room in dressers and closets to unpack. Living and dining areas were very comfortable with enough room for all of us. The house is very clean. It’s on a dirt road with a short steep hill. It’s near Polar Caves and not far from Squam Lake Science Center, both of which we enjoyed with the kids. Bruce responded quickly to us when we needed something. We had a fun time there!

Summary: The cottage was very nice and the location is beautiful and a good jumping off point for outdoor adventures. Secluded and quiet without being so remote that you can't run down groceries and such. We very much enjoyed the stay.

Summary: We loved everything about this place. House main room and kitchen much larger than appeared on the website photos. Clean and with MANY kitchen utensils, pots, pans, etc. We cooked and grilled dinner every night. Super remote, so while cell service and internet is just fine at the house, on the road it disappears, so be prepared. Mattress in master bedroom very comfortable. House a little rustic, but that is exactly what we wanted for me, my husband and our small dog - a true lakeside cottage feel with the comforts and charm. Small dock right in front of the porch that has terrific views of lake and mountains. Great fishing, kayaking. Bruce was extremely nice and responsive and we thank him for sharing this gem with us. Cannot wait to come back. Must be simply gorgeous in the fall as well.

Summary: The location on the lake was perfect, the little boys worked on improving their swimming skills and learning how to jump off the dock, so much fun! The house had everything we needed for family meals. We brought the boys favorite DVDs and that was a great way to keep them occupied while we relaxed on the deck watching the duck families swim by and listening to the loons calling.

Summary: Great location… away from it all, but close enough for supplies. Disappointed that access to the lake was not as pictured in the pics online. Well stocked house including kitchen, books and games. Would recommend and rent again.

Summary: We had a lovely time at Stinson Lake. We could not have asked for better accommodations or a more peaceful place to stay. The location is just beautiful and the house had everything we needed. It was cozy, clean, and comfortable, and charming. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen of any rental I have stayed at. We appreciated all the good things the house and host provided us. I highly recommend Bruce’s place.
