Positive: A very comfortable welcoming place to stay on the beautifully rugged north side of Anglesey. Lots of alternative cultural attractions like derelict but beautiful Porth Wen brickworks just along the coast.
Negative: Not a reflection at all of the hotel….but we walked into Amlwch before dinner (ostensibly searching for a nice place for a pre dinner drink) but were disappointed to see that limited town facilities have little changed from what I remember when first visiting from the early 80’s - and over the years since. It is a real shame as Amlwch and its beautiful setting holds so much potential. I accept, maybe we looked in the wrong part.
Summary: Very friendly, comfortable and self-contained small rural hotel and restaurant.
