Just 1 mile away, the Victorian pleasure pier is home to amusements and a games room, while 0.5 miles in the opposite direction takes you to the 12th-century Oystermouth Castle, perfect for a picnic and with gorgeous views from its walls. Walk or cycle the promenade – or take the land train – to find crazy golf, a children’s playground and an array of places to eat and drink. Newton Road, 1 mile away, is another excellent destination for enticing shops and gourmet food. And then, of course, there are the incredible beaches that surround you: including the small beach at Mumbles with its rock pools, and the family-friendly Langland Bay, 1.5 miles away, which is popular with surfers.
As you step from the street into the open-plan ground floor of this welcoming property, you’ll immediately feel its historic character. Exposed stone walls, ceiling beams and an ornamental fireplace add to the atmosphere, while on the walls are quaint works of art depicting fishing boats and the sea.
