Summary: Great spot and ideal for the larger group we had. Very clear that this is a much loved family bach so we greatly appreciated the opportunity to come and stay - thanks. FYI there are a couple of bolts missing from the bifold doors onto the deck, so while the door can still be locked fine, it might be worth considering getting these fixed up - at present the lock is relying on one bolt at the top, and the bolt at the handle. We also struggled to get the barbecue going (possibly our fault/user error though) and found a gas bottle in the garage. Might be worth checking the barbie is all good. Thanks very much for the stay!

Summary: Our overall stay was a heap of fun and the location is amazing. A few reviews have mentioned the road in - its a typical kiwi gravel road and no issue at all. Unfortunately a few things let the stay down - and these are noted just for the managers to perhaps take some action. The key was not where promised. Then the second location also wasn't there. Finally after calls to Bookabach we finally got a key and also managed to get one from the neighbour. The house really needs to be spider sprayed -a heap of cobwebs and spiders around the house. Finally the listing says aircon - the aircon is only in the back games room which doesn't get very hot. The front area which gets the sun cooks and even with the doors open is hot. Then at night they recommend shutting the windows and doors so it can get a little uncomfortable. In saying all that we did have a great time and would go back but just not in the middle of summer - soft South Islanders maybe lol.
