Summary: Excellent hotel with very good service. The location of the hotel is, on the other hand, a little puzzling.

Summary: The hotel is clean with very spacious room and bathroom. Great free breakfast and free wifi/parking. It's outside Chiayi City right next to the Jen-i-t'an Reservoir. We arrived Sunday afternoon and found a lively crowd on the mile-long dam of the reservoir enjoying themselves. Families were there flying beautiful kites, walking their dogs, and enjoying the street musicians playing various musical instruments. The hotel staff was eager to please. When I asked for night market suggestions, they printed out a list of must-see/must-try stalls at the Chiayi night market for us. A great staging spot for visiting Alishan if you drive.
