Negative: If I had to be critical it would be that the room was very small but I understand it’s and old building and that’s how’s things are

Positive: Wonderful hospitality, small room which is what we booked and beautifully appointed, standout breakfast - beautiful room and amazing choice of food - and we weren't rushed which was much appreciated. Top notch, thank you.
Negative: Bit concerned when we drove up as the entrance is opposite a small industrial estate - we shouldn't have worried!

Positive: Plenty of Parking, good size room, well presented, great breakfast and great staff
Negative: Bed was very creaky at every movement, mattress not very comfortable and you could hear the neighbouring guest snoring.
Summary: Stayed for a wedding which was only 5 minutes away, the staff were great and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

Positive: I cannot speak highly enough of La Bouchon. From the moment I walked in I was met with efficient, friendly, helpful staff. The room was clean and spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. I need to say a huge thank you to the amazing reception staff and the young lady in the restaurant at breakfast. From booking my taxi to and from the wedding I was attending, making sure it was a female taxi driver as I was alone to a being made very welcome in the restaurant. Thank you 🤩

Positive: Beautifully decorated room. Very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Negative: We had a top floor room that was hot so we had the window open. The room faced onto a busy road so was quite noisy all night.

Positive: The staff were all friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent.
Negative: Sadly they closed the restaurant three weeks ago. Understandably due to lack of people using the facility. Unfortunately the options for eating nearby are limited (the next door indian restaurant is closed on Tuesday). You have to go to Maldon High Street to get an evening meal.
Summary: Nice hotel spoilt by loss of the restaurant.
