Summary: We stayed for a whole week, and we value our stay very positively. The welcome by Mr. Bourdin was great. The environment is very nice, relaxing and calm. The house has all you need to have a cosy stay with your family and pets.

Summary: The property is beautiful, it is an amazing place, the owner is nice and easy to communicate. We had problems with the electricity, which went off and we had no power for several hours, besides that, everything else was okay.

Summary: Beautiful view and excellent location in the Cote Roti wine region. Ampuis is a sweet little town, just active enough for two bakeries, a playground, a river walk, etc. It is not walkable---there are 3 km of steep hairpin turns between the house and the town. But it means the house feels remote---very private and quiet, with a sweeping view over farms, forest, and vineyards. The hiking trails really are just a couple minutes' walk from the house---a big plus if the weather cooperates! Owners very nice and responsive, especially via text/WhatsApp (not as great over email). They live nearby and came to fix things right away. That said: they seemed shockingly unprepared despite having been renting for many years---there is no info sheet with the basics (trash, WiFi, clothesline), let alone extras like markets, groceries, favorite restaurants, things to do, etc. This meant we wasted a lot of time on the ground figuring things out and waiting for instructional videos to be sent via text. Definitely do your homework ahead of time and ask lots of questions prior to arriving or during initial tour/key handoff. The pool is small but a big plus (especially during a heat wave!). The common space is really big and would be great for a party. "Sleeps 12" is aspirational: there are three bedrooms and two double beds in a low-ceilinged loft space, plus an alcove with a fold-out couch that was missing its mattress. More than 6-8 and it will begin to feel like dorm housing. But the mattresses were surprisingly comfortable! There are a couple of hazards that make the place a little more stressful if you have children (no fence around the pool, broken/warped decking with exposed nails, drops and open places with no railings, etc.).

Summary: This beautiful home is only about 25 minutes from Lyon, such a beautiful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. I was in awe of the view driving up the mountain, through the vineyards to get to the house. You will see the beautiful view of mountains and the river. The house was perfect and the floor to ceiling windows in the great room showed off the beautiful Mountain Views. During July it was very hot, but just come prepared with fans. A small pool and large yard gives space for endless fun. The owner was very helpful and responsive. My family loved our stay at this house.
