In the heart of Umbria, the holiday house at Le Favette is situated in 12 acres of olives and vinyards, close to the hilltop village of Monte Castello di Vibio. Le Favette boasts incredible views across the Tiber valley to Todi and the Umbrian countryside. It is the perfect place for a relaxing break: with gorgeous solar-heated pool, private golf, table-tennis and beautiful walks. It also provides an ideal base from which to explore many nearby historic towns including Todi, Orvieto, Assisi, Spoleto and Perugia and is a day trip away from both Rome and Florence!
This villa has a kitchen-dining room with seating area and spiral staircase up to a soppalco (mezzanine floor): the large main lounge is downstairs, where there is also a fireplace and TV. In the kitchen you will find the full range of modern appliances the enthusiastic cook expects. There is a large veranda with outdoor dining table, and a ping pong (table tennis) table. The house is tastefully furnished with interesting art and has wood burners in both the kitchen-dining and main lounge. The house sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms - the master bedroom has a large double bed, the other 2 bedrooms have 2 single beds each. One of these rooms can be converted into a second double bed, if requested. The house has 2 bathrooms (one of them ensuite). Fans are provided in each bedroom; and there is air-conditioning throughout.
If extra beds are required, we can usually accommodate your request, either by putting another bed in the downstairs lounge or suppalco (which can be hot in summer), or opening the small self-contained flat that is in the tower of the owner's farmhouse. Suitable for an extra adult or two older children, use of the tower's flat would involve an extra fee. Please contact us for details of how we can accomodate extra sleepers.
The holiday home is situated within a working farm in 12 acres of hillside, with olive groves and vineyards. Our olive oil, wine and seasonal produce make the Le Favette experience particularly charming! It boasts a stunning garden, and cleverly designed golf course with 4 greens and 7 tees that plays as 12 challenging holes. Equipment will be provided for those interested (play is at your own risk, but simple instruction on rules and safety can be provided upon request). We also have everything that a young family might require, from a cot, to high chairs, reading books, even toys and bicycles that we are happy for visitors to borrow.
The villa comes equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Close to the pool there is a large covered barbeque and wood-fired pizza oven ideal for evening parties. We make excellent white and red wines, and a superb olive oil. The pool is shared with the owner's young family (grandchildren) who have a daily swim during the hot months, but seldom sit and sunbathe.
The beautiful curved 14x6 metre pool, has a straight swimming lane for serious swimmers and is solar heated, environmentally friendly and bordered by two beautiful frog-laden ponds. The pool is located just across the lawn, below and away from the main house. The pool has a spacious stone patio with loungers, sun-shade and outdoor shower, and is surrounded by gorgeous flower beds.
