Positive: beautiful environment, delightful hosts, wonderful food, especially French inspired meals and great authentic Sri Lankan curry.
Negative: quite a long way from Kandy but worth the trek - disappointed there were no leopards though!
Summary: We loved this oasis in the rainforest and would love to return with our families

Positive: Amazing place, in a jungle decor and very well decorated. The rooms are super spacious and perfectly clean, the beds are very comfortable. The atmosphere is peaceful and calm. You can feel totally disconnected there
Negative: The lunch was a bit expensive but absolutely delicious.

Negative: We arrived to the property - and the door was locked, the lights switched off in reception and when the guy at reception opened the door, we thought we had gone wrong, he didnt seem to expect us. Just a note to the owner - a more warm welcome would have been nice :) The property is very far from Kandy, and because it takes at least 15 mins by tuk tuk to get to the city, you often end of eating your meals at the hotel. The food was average - and expensive, so although the stay was cheap, it ended up costing us more than for some of the other properties. We booked this hotel with high expectations due to high ratings - and the property failed because of that. Had it had lower ratings, maybe we wouldnt have expected so much, because the room is nice, standard and average, but fine - but because of the high ratings, we were disappointed. Lovely and nice staff, also the host.

Negative: They charged us for a broken ashtray about 6€. And the normal is even not 50 cent because we asked local ppl. So be careful if something will break. The food portion are for kids and to expansive 18€ for 80g tuna and 7 chips and outside u pay 5€ for big meal and tuna. There was no fridge, no safe, no tv and no phone. That’s not a 4 star standard as we know. On booking was a option for half Pension and the owner told us at the hotel there is no option for that but an employee said before they have Menu for half pension. For us was the energy not good there.

Positive: Gorgeous hotel in the middle of nature. The owners are super friendly and very accommodating. Very comfortable beds and the shower was hot. Fabrice is passionate about food & food quality. He explained to us how he sources his ingredients and honestly the lunch we had at the hotel was probably one of the best we had in the whole country. One morning there was a yoga master who gave a yoga class just after sunrise. My understanding is that they will arrange this if enough people are interested.
Negative: Nothing. One thing to note is that the hotel is up the hill a little further from town (approx. 30 min drive). This means it's quiet and the air quality is much better. This was well worth the journey into town for us, but might be a dealbreaker for others.
Summary: Very comfortable. 10/10 would recommend!
