Positive: This has to be hands down the very best place we have ever stayed in on any holiday. We have stayed in 5 star hotels and eaten in Michelin starred restaurants and, of course, they are entirely different options. Le Manoir du Plessis is gorgeous to look at, steeped in history, has magnificent hosts Cécile and Gilles and the overall welcoming ambience cannot be bettered. The food was delicious - Cécile is an incredible chef and we ate al fresco amongst joyous nature under beautiful mature tree canopies. Everything about this residence, including our room and super comfortable bed was wonderful. Cécile also produces Artisan pottery for the table and we bought some lovely pieces to remember our stay forever. We will definitely return.

Positive: Staying at Cecile’s house, we discovered not only the authentic atmosphere of a historic home, but also the hostess’s extraordinary warmth. We were welcomed with homemade apple juice, kindly offered help with booking dinner, and in the morning were pleasantly surprised by a very cozily served breakfast, where we tasted yogurt made at a nearby farm. Top marks – we highly recommend it to anyone seeking Normandy authenticity and a warm welcome.
