Positive: The location was beautiful. The farm was historic and it was obvious that the family had worked very hard to showcase its important history and to allow the guests to enjoy the setting and lovely pool, games, and other amenities. The family was very sweet and I loved seeing the kiddos play and hearing about their day.
Negative: The communication around expectations was rather poor. Not only was one surprised to discover that one needed to pay for linens (!!!) -this isn't a youth hostel- and that a 200-Euro cash deposit was required (if one doesn't have cash, the passport was taken), but at the end of the stay, the host decided whether or not an additional 50 Euro cleaning fee should be assigned. We found the strange tacking on of charges after-booking to be very odd and off-putting. Just include the linens in your nightly cost like everyone else, no? And while I can imagine someone behaved badly in the past, to treat everyone as though they will tear up your property may not be the impression you wish to leave. All the same, I LOVE the place and wish you well - you are obviously working hard to take care of history and your family and I wish you the best.

Positive: Great location, nice and cool rooms. Swimming pool was very nice. Garden around the house made you feel relaxed. Parking spot made it very easy to come and go when you want. Hosts were very friendly and always available to provide sufficient information.
Negative: Nothing to complain about. The rooms were very cool, and even when it was hotter than expected, additional fans were availble in the rooms. When it is good, you will always feel relaxed. Keep up the good work!
Summary: Very nice relaxing place with enthousiastic hosts near all important must-do visits.

Positive: The host Pierre was wonderful- very friendly and helpful, and extremely enthusiastic about their lovely kitchen garden and forest garden. He took us on a tour of the garden which was very interesting.
Negative: We were staying in the apartment to escape some thunderstorms for a couple of nights, so sadly we couldn't use the pool, but it must be lovely in sunny weather. Please note - bed linen, towels and the departure clean of the property are all extra to the price. It does say that on the description (we booked in a hurry so missed it), but it just seemed a bit odd for sheets and towels to be extra. Anyway, otherwise it was lovely and we would recommend it.
