Summary: Very quaint and charming, this old water mill converted into a bed and breakfast with an authentic french country feel is simply beautiful and calming. Outlets are hard to come by but there are enough in the rooms. Wifi was slightly slow but plenty for low data tasks (emails, audio calls, browsing) The hosts are very friendly and accommodating with sweet dogs (don’t wear white pants) ooh and they have peacocks!!

Summary: What a wonderful place! Arrived on a cold wet February evening after a long drive and was warmly welcomed by the owners. The property overall exudes history and charm, further enhanced by being greeted by 3 sheep the next morning, then a number of peacocks strutting around the grounds. Worth trying the local wines there is a cooperative just down the road. Unbeatable location but not far (10 mins by car) from Cheverny Will definitely return.

Summary: This hotel is beautiful. Old and classy, wooden beams and original features throughout. It’s very homely and quirky. The bed was comfortable and the room was delightful. The photographs do not do it justice. The owner is fantastic but speaks very little English. The whole garden is full of animals, chickens, turkeys and peacocks roam wild and she also has donkeys, goats and sheep. Breakfast was served in a grand room and was delicious. I would definitely go back.

Summary: Only stayed one night as stopping off on our way home which was a shame as it is a really nice place. The house is full of character and the Peacocks roaming the grounds added something to charm, we also liked the Donkeys. The room held an unexpected surprise in that it had a small kitchen which enabled us to cook an evening meal and therefore save a chunk of change. Breakfast was good with plenty on offer and the service very friendly.

Summary: This mill holliday cottage is in a quiet place in the nature, with peacocks, monkeys, hens and kind dogs... The interior design is in lovely old style, with beautiful curtains, old stones and sculptures, and the wooden mill wheel is still present. The dishes are beautiful in Gien earthenware and the breakfasts are generous and varied. The hosts are very kind and like to share their expertise of the region. Very very nice place to recommend !
