Positive: The facilities in the house were very good. The kitchen was the best we had in Bali (although it needs a kettle) and the furnishings and bathroom fixtures were new and very nice. The housekeeper and neighbour was super helpful with a couple of issues and the owner was kind enough to allow us to rebook when roadworks became a problem.
Negative: The view is no longer there. A small studio has been built right in front of the terrace, so the only view is from upstairs, but that's hugely impractical because the cargo net that is supposed to be the lounge space is, quite honestly, very unsafe to walk on. You also have to walk over it to open or close the curtains, so we left them closed the whole time. The bed was very firm and I found it uncomfortable. The toilet was dirty on arrival.
Summary: Good, but don't expect a view.

Positive: The serenity and round-the-clock peace that I can't get in another bustling area of Bali. A perfect getaway from the world that never stop. Brew fresh coffee in the morning and enjoy my coffee with nothing but a chirp of birds. 30 minutes short drive to Lovina, and then get back to the villa to cook my dinner. I'm a cook so the fully equipped kitchen is definitely extra plus points. The water pressure and temperature is great. I did contrast theraphy at their shower. Hot is really hot, and the cold water is...really cold. The loft bedroom was amazing, you can see Singaraja lights from the loft. Temp was great, 22c degree in the noon and 19c by the evening, perfect for writing and/or just enjoying quality life here.
Negative: Looking back, I realize that one night is too short of an experience of serenity. If you're looking for peace, I'd recommend at least 2 nights. The entire villa is soundproof as well (can be plus or negative depending on your preference). Also: if there's a chair in the patio it'd be great for sunset/sunrise (you can drag the kitchen chair into the patio, I did that) I got only 4 capsules of Nespresso a day so that's a minus for me (they replenish it daily). Haven't tried the bathtub since it's only one night, will check it next time.
Summary: If peace and serenity are your things, this is it.
