Positive: Property was clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxed stay in the champagne region. Our host was very responsive and assisted us when required.
Negative: No fault of the property but Avenay D’Or (like many towns) is suffering from a downturn in the economy and so has limited facilities in the way of shops and restaurants so be prepared to drive.

Positive: The village itself was gorgeous, the host has done an incredible job with the décor - and such a beautiful renovation. We also really enjoyed the outdoor area which was perfect for late night dinners (it even had a little bbq). I couldn't recommend more for friends, a romantic weekend away or even for a small family.

Positive: A beautiful little gîte in a small champagne village. With a lovely outdoor space to sit and relax. Kitchen with everything in it, including a dishwasher. Upstairs a lovely bedroom. Beautiful bathroom with a shower and toilet (also downstairs a toilet), and washing machine. We hope to come again.
Negative: Nothing to complain about. Just a tip, perhaps two sunbeds, or relaxing chairs for outside.

Negative: Couldn’t turn the heating down as we couldn’t find the Thermostat, think it was preset via an App. Had been set high and due to being electric heaters they creaked (made noises) throughout the night.

Positive: Absolutely fantastic village having this cozy house. House has private terrace, many room with a lot of space and it was renovated with care. It was very lovely and exceeded our expectations. So cute with all the details and history you can see and feel in there. Friendly communication with the owners.

Positive: Amazing house, made with love. A lot of details that gives you the feeling od being home. Very clean, comfort, the landlady was very friendly, she wrote the notes in Slovenian, provided us a (gluten free) breakfast, nice patio with dinning table to sit outside for a coffe, breakfast …, quiet neighbouhood, friendly neughbours, you cannot park in front of the house (just for taking out the bagagge), but there is a parking place just a min walking distance.
Negative: As it was very hot, there is only a ventilator, no air condition, so we didn’t sleep so well, as the bedroom is under the roof; we didn’t know that there is a wi-fi (we didn’t ask 🫣), so it would be good to have some exposed note with the password or to send it via Booking before arriving.

Positive: Beautiful authentic property in a quiet village with excellent transport links - walking through the vineyards, driving to nearby villages or 10 minutes walk to train station with regular service to Epernay and Reims. Cottage has been carefully restored and is lovely to spend time inside or in the courtyard. Very peaceful and enjoyable stay. Look forward to returning.
