Positive: The property was in a pretty setting in an attractive village within a lovely area. Some of the artwork was very good and the beds were comfortable.

Negative: The main thing was that the property we were given was not the one we had booked, i.e. not the one at the top of this page. The hosts had forgotten that we were coming and we had to wait about one and a half hours for someone to turn up with the key. The person I spoke to on the phone was very apologetic, but his wife, who came to meet us was not. The property was cold. The electric heater in the main living area downstairs was set to 18 degrees. When I asked how to turn up the heat, I was told that I could not and the heaters would remain at that temperature. Upstairs, they were set at 17.5 degrees. The garden furniture was rusty and there were no cushions. The owner did bring two deckchairs for us. Because the house was not the one we originally booked and was much smaller, there was no washing machine, no sofa, just 3 small bedroom type chairs. There was no dishwasher and no oven, both of which we usually like to have. There was also no television. It was cold and uncomfortable and we would not have booked it, had we been shown pictures of the interior and exterior. Aude, one of the hosts, told us that the property we had booked was being renovated and would not be available until May or June. It should, therefore, not be advertised as available on the website. We had relied on this property for relaxing 4 night stay, as part of a touring holiday, but we were so disappointed that we left after two nights. We have had no further communication with the hosts and no response to our message saying that we had checked out. We would appreciate a partial refund, given all the above issues.

Positive: I would have rated our stay as excellent however there were just a couple of things that were missing. There were no scissors, I would have liked extra bin bags and more towels. For a week stay we had two large towels which is not enough. For a week stay it would have been nice to have 4 hand towels and 4 bath towels at least. The seating area inside was nice enough however there was enough room to put a 3 seat sofa and a chair which would have been much more cosy and comfortable. These are all small things but had they been there, I would have rated the property as excellent.

Negative: There is nothing that I did not like about the property or our stay. An information book with shop opening and closing days / times would have been useful.

Positive: We enjoyed our stay in this charming location immensely, so beautiful! We loved the property and its beautiful surroundings. The location was great and we loved hearing the church bells ringing and sitting on the patio having a glass of wine in the countryside, so relaxing! We even had a beautiful dog, Jude, who would occasionally come and play ball with us!

Summary: We had an amazing three days and we would love to come back!

Positive: The private location in a bucolic setting yet close to village. Wonderful country breakfast onsite, easy walk to lovely Italian restaurant. Sweet little cottage with all our needs met.
