Summary: The stay was well. However, it was extremely frustrating trying to find out information for the check-in process and keys. Received an email 72 prior to check-in stating there was no check-in information given by the host. 4 Attempts to contact the host up to 2 hours prior to check-in with no response. Finally, an answer however she also responded that she was "very busy" and I should have texted her. I only had the means of communication that was given to me with vrbo. Too unorganized for me.

Summary: This house was lovely. Nice and clean.. roomy and in a very quiet neighborhood. Very close to the PA RENAISSANCE FAIRE. If your looking for an inexpensive alternative to a hotel.. this is your place. Kitchen.. dining room.. closed in back porch. Perfect for a small family looking to cut out the expenses of dining out for every meal.

Summary: This property was a dream! Located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood roughly twenty minutes from Hershey Park. This home was SO clean and well kept. We did not spend much down time in the house itself but the kids adore looking at the decorations and LOVED the screened in porch off the kitchen. The kitchen that was spotless! Beds were comfortable and temperature inside the home was perfect. Cool for sleeping comfortably. Check-Out process was easy and efficient. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

Summary: The property was clean, uncluttered, and adorable! The neighborhood was so nice and quiet. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathroom was stocked with towels, wash cloths, and bathing necessities such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash. This is not a knock on the property, just things to be aware of: 1) There are multiple glade plug ins. We are not a family that can tolerate the toxins, so we simply unplugged, put in a closet, left while the house aired out, and replaced when we left. However, they did cause us asthma and sinus issues during our stay. 2) The beds are both full-sized. My husband and are are small people, 5’8” and 5’3” and slim and we were not able to both sleep comfortably in the bed, so my husband took the couch both nights. We were so thankful not to be staying at a hotel. This house made it possible to relax after a long day at the field. Thank you for having us!

Summary: We attended the Celtic Fling at the Mount Hope Estate and Winery (Home of the PA Renaissance Faire.) We wanted a place where we could bring our own food and beverages, be close to Mt. Hope, but not 'break the bank'. This is pleasant home 'fit the bill'. It is in a quiet neighborhood; about a 20 minute scenic drive to Mt. Hope. It is an older home with all the charm and coziness, but the central air kept a nice even temperature inside despite the muggy heat outside.

Summary: Overall, the property was pretty good. It was weird the one bedroom dressers and closet was filled with someone's belongings (older woman I assumed). All of the appliances are older and the dryer was caked with lint. We left a msg for the property owner to check that regularly. We also weren't crazy that she wanted us to strip the bed, etc. I understand taking trash out and cleaning up after ourselves but this is what the cleaning fee is for. Also, both of us are mobility challenged and the laundry was down in the basement...not so easy for us to drag all of the bedding and linens down the steps.

Summary: The house could be nice. But seemed that many people stayed there without proper cleaning in between. Or, someone is living there in between guests. The front door lock is either broken or very outdated. Took us awhile to figure out how to lock it in the am--but when we got back that night it was unlocked again! There were crumbs all over the table and counters, there was no obvious way to run the garbage disposal so it was clogged when we got there, the stove is so outdated we were afraid to use it, and the sink was generally dirty. The beds were comically uncomfortable. You would have to try to find mattresses that cheap. Same with the paper thin pillows. My husband was going to put some stuff in a drawer--which was filled with underwear. And couldn't hang up anything in the the closet--it was filled with old clothes--some dry cleaning dating back to 2007. The shower in the bathroom was full of soap scum and the showerhead was broken and it only would hit you at waist level. The towels were clearly someone's old towels from decades ago. The owner seemed less than pleasant in the few communications that we had. It was a very odd experience that, with minor improvements, could be a very nice place to stay.
