Positive: Absolutely amazing! The location in the rainforest ist really beautiful, the apartment was very clean and the best equipped apartment we have stayed at so far. There is literally everything you need and additionally sunscreen, mosquito spray and snorkeling gear and even beach chairs and an umbrella. Doug was super nice and very helpful. He did have a lot of good recommendations! We loved it and we will definitely come back. It’s super close to the volcanoes NP as well so you can go in the night to see the lava.
Summary: Best stay on big island!!!

Positive: Kitchen was well equipped. Unit is in a residential area, surrounded by gardens. Easy access to Volcano NP.
Negative: More of a personal issue, but the weather was chilly while we were there, and I was a bit cold. There were extra blankets, which helped.

Positive: Keys were on the porch in a binder with all other required information. The location was beautiful and very convenient for us. I loved the enclosed porch area and the fresh fruit left by the host. The beds were comfortable and the whole place had a charm about it.
Negative: We had never been to the island before and weren't aware of how loud the Coqui frogs were at night. The building had sections of open wall to the outside making the noise impossible to sleep through. It was an amazing sound, but bring earplugs. I wish this was noted before we arrived so we were prepared.
Summary: Beautiful location with a great host and a lot of frogs to serenade you in the evening.
