Positive: The breakfast was very nice with a delicious dinner served by our host. Nice wine too! Room was lovely.we enjoyed a swim in the pool . The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Negative: We were there during a heat wave. There was air conditioning but it struggled to cope. Weather was exceptionally hot though so difficult to rectify that problem!
Summary: Very pleasant and friendly hosts in a lovely setting. Served a delicious evening meal.

Positive: From the moment we arrived until the day we departed we all agreed it was one of the most amazing properties we have stayed in - and we travel a lot. Both Monique and Willem couldn’t have been more welcoming. Our room, the Bridget Bardot, was extremely well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. No detail had been overlooked. We ate in each evening and what a treat. Willem is a brilliant chef and Monique a wine expert. The location is in a wonderful countryside setting close to Bergerac. We are already planning a return visit next year.

Positive: Beautiful location with a very welcoming host in Monique. We enjoyed walking in their extensive grounds admiring the wild flowers, butterflies and birds. The very comfortable accommodation, in the Brigitte Bardot suite, was in the old farm-house which still retained many of the original features. We ate supper there, every night, and had wonderful food with a good choice of wines.
Negative: A car is necessary at the accommodation if you want to visit all the sites in the area.
Summary: Excellent and will certainly stay there again.

Positive: I was travelling on my own for a few days, before meeting up with the rest of my family, but I was made to feel exceptionally welcome by both Willem and Monique and their two lovely great danes. Their house was cool and comfortable, and most importantly really peaceful. I enjoyed lovely meals prepared by Willem, and Monique went that extra mile to make sure I was happy and catered for. As I had no car, they even provided a taxi service for me on a couple of occasions. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I really enjoyed my stay .

Positive: A lovely spot with friendly hosts and a beautiful swimming pool. King size comfortable bed. Stylish room decor. Very good shower. Plentiful breakfast with good variety. Convenient location in countryside but not far from Bergerac and airport.
Negative: The room size was small, the bed took up most of the space but we were only staying one night so no problem.(And also there is an outside patio area with comfortable chairs).

Positive: Monique the Sommelier and Willem the Chef complement each other extremely well. "The Chef and the Sommelier' - title of a new French series or movie!! Two beautiful Great Danes provided much relaxation and interest. Breakfast was bountiful. Any request was responded to. Evening meals were exceptional with the added bonus of advice and guidance with passion about the wide range of wines available. Much discussion about vines and wines. The location was very lovely, wooded and expansive - plenty of space to breathe and contemplate. The hosts are emotionally intelligent people who are considerate, thoughtful and enabling. They couldn't have done more to make the stay memorable. Thank you both.

Positive: Willem and Monique are very attentive hosts and we felt immediately at home. The bucolic setting provided much needed relaxation. The pool was lovely and the pool bar a welcome addition to the lounging. Our room and bed were comfortable and the shower phenomenal. Breakfast was plentiful with delicious homemade jams. We would definitely go back alone or with friends and highly recommend Les Rocailles.
