Positive: Liberty house is an excellent location to explore Ashbourne. It is beautifully decorated in a comfy, eclectic way. Despite the town being on our doorstep, it was pleasantly quiet at night. It was also blissfully cool in the heatwave! The host was kind enough to leave a bottle of wine in the fridge, (thank you) and plenty of tea / coffee. We were staying for a family wedding, so unfortunately we weren't in the house for much time, but we would definitely recommend and hire again.
Summary: Wonderful house in beautiful Ashbourne.

Positive: Property was nicely decorated, and a nice log fire which the dog loved. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and hot.
Negative: We arrived after a 3 hr drive, but had still not received details of key collection. I had left a message with the owner at 2pm (access from 3pm) asking for these details. I received no reply and contacted Booking.Com who didn't have the code. At 2.55pm we were stood outside the property still with no details of access. I again called Booking.com who said they would contact the owner. We eventually received the key code from booking.com. It was a worrying point, as we thought we were going to struggle to get access and have to find another place to stay. Advice don't go on Shrove Tuesday or Ash Wednesday as Ashbourne have the annual "Shrovetide" event. There is no car parking in the town and the pubs do not serve food on these days.

Positive: Liberty House was quite possibly one of the best accommodations we have stayed in. Everything about it was quality, from the decor and furnishings, to the beds and kitchen equipment. We loved staying here, it was easy to walk into town where there are plenty of restaurants and cafes, and it was central in the area to be able to access many walks and beautiful countryside.
Negative: Not a major problem but the property is situated on quite a busy main road which can be a little noisy in the front bedroom, particularly at rush hour in the morning, however this would not put us off from returning.
Summary: A delightful few days spent in a delightful property.

Negative: Being informed the day before going that check in would be 4pm and not 3pm as advertised. When I enquired the time was changed which we appreciated, but if I hadn't asked we would not have been able to get in until later. Most perturbing was that check-out was 10:00am on Sunday morning which is not very satisfactory or civilised. 11:00am would be more reasonable.
