Positive: The property is in a quiet location with a peaceful shrine just up the hill, but still close enough to visit all the attractions in the Tono area easily by bike or car. The host is very gracious and is an excellent chef. We had delicious venison steak, outdoor BBQ, and breakfasts of fish, soup, fruit, and vegetables. It was lovely to stay in the host’s family home and hear his stories about growing up in the area. The bath and bedroom facilities were very comfortable and the wood stove and heater in the bedroom kept everything warm at night. We would absolutely stay here again!

Positive: I loved this stay in the country, and the host is super friendly. But note this is a very special kind of stay. Not a hotel or guest house, but basically a private house next to the house where the host lives. It is in the country and reasonably remote, but it is possible to travel by public transport too. A very special experience.

Positive: This was a wonderful stay with an exceptionally kind host and his 2 adorable dogs. He makes you feel immediately at home, and gave great suggestions about what to see in the area. The house was charming - its age in parts, It is a real house, that has been lived in and loved.

Summary: Wonderful, kind host, in a lovely, old family home. I would definitely come back again!
