Positive: This hotel is located at the westernmost tip of the peninsula and in a quiet town with a lighthouse (and beautiful church!). The hotel rooms was incredible comfortable and staff were friendly. They had great Christmas atmosphere too! If the northern lights are on and it’s a clear night, it’s a great spot because there is very little light pollution. I chose the hotel for its proximity to the airport and it was a short and easy 15 min drive (mind the speed bumps in the village!) - so perfect for my needs!

Positive: The location was perfect, right next to the airport. We loved seeing the lighthouse too from our room. Our room was very clean and spacious, great for a short stay before flying.
Negative: The quality of the breakfast could have been much better, much better range in other hotels in Iceland.

Positive: Size of the room and the layout (family room) Good breakfast, but a 7 am opening time would have been better than 7:30
Negative: Would have preferred to be on the non lighthouse side of the building as the light was bright and flashed frequently interfered with our ability to see the Northern Lights.

Positive: We stayed for 1,5 nights and would definitely recommend the place. The room was nice, warm, and cozy, with a very comfortable bed. The Wi-Fi was good we also could watch Netflix. The breakfast buffet included both continental and hot options, as well as a selection of pastries :) We were lucky enough to see the Aurora, which was amazing, you just had to step outside of the Hotel and it was right there! The Hotel It was also close to the Ocean, so you could have lovely walk to the actual lighthouse. Good for the last nights stay as was only 10-15 min drive to the Airport. The staff were lovely and helpful! :)
Negative: The room and dinner could be a bit more reasonably priced. Room has AC but no the actual heather.

Positive: If you don't want to stay at an airport hotel, the Lighthouse is a good alternative
Negative: The website said the restaurant was open til 21.30. We arrived at 20.15 expecting to be able to eat before our early flight the next day only to be told that the information on the website is wrong. This was super annoying, given that it was a sunday in Iceland and not a lot was open.

Positive: Room was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff were very nice. We were only here overnight to be close to the airport (15 min drive). We had an early flight so I told them we would not need breakfast. They made us to go bags with ham sandwiches, fruit and juice. there was a working lighthouse out our window but curtains were black out so not a problem. fridge in room. just want to add we were in three different hotels and all were so clean.
