Our Mini Cabin sits on the edge of the Canyon at Palo Duro Zipline & RV Park and faces outward towards the east with spectacular views of the State Park. Known as the Lighthouse cabin, this space is 170sq ft featuring a comfy queen size bed, tv, bathroom, kitchenette- that includes small fridge, microwave, sink & coffee maker. Bathroom is spacious with a walk in shower and small closet. The windows flood the space with natural light throughout the day and offer the perfect view to the Canyon. The deck has a propane grill with burner to enjoy a quick simple outdoor cooked meal if you chose.
The Lighthouse Cabin is located thru the entrance at Palo Duro Zipline & RV park, continue thru the RV park gate and is situated on the left, which is east side. Check-in time is 3pm or later. Access is through a keyless lock for which you'll be provided a code prior to approval, so late night check-ins are not a problem. Check-out time is 11am.
No one should start their day without caffeine - so you'll find a selection of tea, coffee, and creamer to get you powered up, along with some breakfast snacks.
We encourage you to make use of the deck, where we provide two chairs, grill and north wind fence block for those gusty panhandle days. Bug spray and sun screen is available in the closet.
A Smart WIFI TV is provided that you can access your personal Netflix, Prime, Hulu(etc) account(s).
Cool the space with a Window Unit Air Conditioner & ceiling fan.
The bathroom is fully decked out with clean towels, some basic toiletries- shampoo, conditioner & body wash. If you need more towels we keep spares in the closet, along with a hair dryer, and iron.
For security purposes, we pre-approve requests.
We are just a txt or phone call away & can be there in about 10 mins with anything that might need attention.
The Zipline & RV Park are on the same property, so you may see other guests coming and going, walking, camping & ziping throughout the day.
The Lighthouse cabin also is the perfect place to view the panhandle sunrise from inside or outdoor space as well. Relax & Enjoy your stay in Canyon close to Palo Duro Canyon State Park.
The entrance to Palo Duro State Park is approx 500ft from the RV Park.

Summary: We have stayed at these cabins many times and will continue to stay there. There was a booking glitch that double booked the property and we had to change houses for our second night. Not the owners fault and they handled it for us....this just made our stay a little more crazy than it could of been. We have friends and family booking for a group stay in December and we are already looking forward to it.

Summary: The Lighthouse cabin is in fact tiny, but it's well-equipped and worked just fine for us for a one-night stay. We enjoyed sitting on the porch at sunset, looking out toward the rim of Palo Duro Canyon (pretty sure this property is as close to the entrance to the park as it's possible to get). We were a little disappointed that we didn't get the really dark skies we were hoping for - not the fault of the cabin, but something to consider if you're into sky-watching and star-gazing. The surprisingly large bathroom is a plus. We liked having coffee and instant oatmeal available for breakfast. If you don't need a lot of space, this cabin is a good option.

Summary: Right next to Palo Duro Canyon, the tiny cabin is absolutely perfect. The bed is honestly the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The Keurig was great for coffee. Shower was lovely. Wifi was a bit spotty so would recommend just enjoying the scenery and the nature and visiting here to truly disconnect. 10/10 would recommend!
