Summary: We rented this house for a 4day stay. It was challenging to find the address at first since street number isn't listed on anything, but we found it. Very remote and quiet which was nice. No TV though there is one in picture. And living room furniture is different than in the picture. This furniture was not comfortable at all. But beds were comfy and love the simplicity of decor overall. We had a lovely weekend.

Summary: Beautiful secluded location and home; we loved the easy trail access and comfortable accommodations and appreciated the flexibility for an early arrival. Our teenager claimed the upstairs bedroom and had his own space. The bathroom setup is unusual: showerhead, toilet and sink all in the same tiled area, so the bathroom floor (and toilet!) gets wet when you shower. Aside from navigating around that, we enjoyed everything about our weekend in Putney.

Summary: Property was amazing. We used it as a base while we skied at Mount Snow for a long weekend. It is a little off the beaten path but would go again.

Summary: Hugh is a fantastic host who responds quickly. We enjoyed it so much we decided to stay an extra night! The property is gorgeous! The cottage is super cozy and spacious. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who wants peace and quiet with the quick accessibility to the towns.

Summary: We loved this stay, because it was all that was promised and our expectations were totally met. We had all the privacy we wanted and all the amenities we expected. The hiking is so close and we lucked out with good weather. In bad, the trail is very flat and short so, even if you're freezing outside, you can just keep moving and reach a nice summit with a great view and hardly anyone around this time of year, yay! In town, there's nothing except the coop- it has all you'd need for cooking tho, but bring provisions. The kitchen is very amazing, laid out so well.

Summary: Everything about renting this property was positive. The check in process was simple. The guest house was exceptional in it's cleanliness and amenities. We felt relaxed and comfortable in not only the lovely house, but the tranquil surroundings as well. We are already planning our next visit. Summary: The property and surrounds were absolutely magical. We would have been happy to stay at Hawkwatch for weeks and weeks! Hugh gave great advice. The house was extremely clean and well equipped. A total joy all around!

Summary: We had such a spectacular and peaceful July weekend here. The guesthouse is both simple and elegant, all newly redone, clean and bright. With plenty of privacy, the rolling grounds are beautiful, and provide direct access to wonderful hiking trails. Sunset on the summit and the vastness of late-night star gazing deepened our horizons. Hugh was very responsive and provided great tips on trails and biking and local color. Can't wait to return. Thanks Hugh!
