Looking For A Home Away From Home?
My Sister's Cabin is located on the little Missouri River with a 3 tier dock on the water, where you can sit and enjoy fishing and the sounds of nature while watching the kids swim.
The cabin is stocked with towels, wash clothes, dishes, cookware, eating/cooking utensils, grill, washer and dryer. Two bedrooms have a queen-size bed with bedding/pillows and Roku TV in every room. Third bedroom has two full size beds with same amenities as other rooms. There is also an air mattress and extra twin mattress for those extra guest.
We recently added fiber optic WiFi for our guest to enjoy with the fastest speeds available in the area.
The living room has couch, big chair, and 2 recliners. Living area also has a 55” TV with Roku attachment. Dining room table sits 6 with an island that has a place for 2 to sit at. Outdoor porch has 2 tables with 4 chairs each.
The cabin has a picnic table and fire pit outside by the water. We are about 10 min from the Crater of Diamonds State Park, 5 min from Narrows Dam and Lake Greeson and right in town is the Famous Archaeological Ka -Do-Ha Indian Mound Builders. Don’t forget to check out the Antique and Rock Shops in Town.
***Hot tub is permanently shut down. We have tried to remove it from all pics or descriptions but somehow it keeps coming up. We are sorry for any confusion.

Summary: It was so peaceful on the river and we loved the huge porch. The beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of room. Despite being warned about the WiFi, it worked perfectly for us! We truly enjoyed our stay. We were disappointed because we booked the house expecting to use the hot tub that was listed but we were never informed it wasn’t working. Also we had a lot of trouble with flies in the house. We spent our first morning killing dozens of flies throughout the house and continued the battle throughout the weekend. The house was equipped with several fly swatters so I’m guessing it’s been a problem in the past. But overall we loved being there in such a great location. It was very relaxing and serene!

Summary: We had a wonderful time here. The cabin was very clean and comfortable with plenty of seating for my family. The deck and porch over the river were great to sit on in the morning while sipping coffee and listening the the birds sing. It was very relaxing. I would definitely stay again!

Summary: We had a great trip celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday. The cabin was great and the river was peaceful and so fun for the kids The cabin was well stocked with cookware and utensils. We didn’t have much luck with the fish, but it was a wonderful trip.

Summary: We chose this property because of the number of availble rooms, and the location. It did not disappoint! We had plenty of room for family, and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The cabin is maybe 15 minutes from Crater of Diamonds, which is one of my favorite places to visit. It's also about an hour away from Mt. Ida, so if you like to hunt for crystals, it's not far. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the deck, watching the river and listening to nature. Wifi in the cabin wasn't great, but you don't go to a cabin to surf the net! The only reason for the 4 stars on "Location and Neighborhood" is that I would really love to stay somewhere truly secluded with no neighbors. There is another cabin about 100 yards away that is mostly hidden by trees, but not completely. There is also another cabin across the river, but only the deck overlooking the river is visible from this cabin. Don't misunderstand me, we still had a great time, and had no problems with the neighbors. I just really like to be away from EVERYONE when I get away (it's just the way I'm wired). Property owners were quick to respond to questions. We had a great time, and will definitely come back!

Summary: I don't know where to start and there isn't enough space here to share it all!! It was me,my daughter and her 5 kids ages 14,11,8, and 6yr old twins and the minute we turned into the driveway we were looking at @ 8 deer standing in the yard looking at us and that was the moment we KNEW it was perfect and fell in love!! Then we walked onto the deck and the view of the property, the forest and the river took our breath away and the love deepened! But when we walked through the door into the cabin it was so much more than just "a cabin on the river",it was not only beautiful but we instantly felt completely at home there.. for the whole of our stay every minute was better than the last one and we really hope to go back to stay there again! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!
