3 Bedroom House in Hixson, Chattanooga

Located 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga on four acres with pool (open 5/15-10/1) on North Chickamauga Creek. We are across the creek from The Greeway Farm wihch is a 180 acre city park on North Chickamauga Creek. The park has 6 miles of walking, running, hiking and biking trails. There are three canoe access points. We are close to restaurants, shopping, canoeing, fishing, and downtown Chattanooga activities.There are golf courses in the area. You are welcome to use the golf clubs in our garage.
House is well equipped. Master BR has king bed, guest have queen in one and full in another. Master has bath with 2 vanities, shower. Jack & Jill bath for guest rooms has Tub/shower combo. The large multipurpose room (20x40) has 2 twin daybeds with trundles.There is bath with shower off multipurpose room. There are flat screen TVs in all bedrooms, one in the den, & one in multipurpose room. Lots of games, books, & some DVDs. WiFi is provided. Large laundry room with new washer/dryer. Pool is 18x36.(pool is closed Oct 1-may 15). Two tables with umbrellas, charcoal grill, lounge chairs plus other outdoor furniture There is a half bath off screen porch by the pool. Beach towels provided. Basketball goal on driveway. You can walk down by the barn to Chickamauga creek. You can bring your gear to fish or put in your own canoe or kayak. There is room to park a 25 foot boat in driveway if you want to enjoy Lake Chickamauga or enter one of the many fishing competitions. There is a small deck overlooking creek. All you need to bring are your clothes & toiletries. We hope you respect and treat our home as your own. Remember no smoking & no pets. We ask that you not let children in the garage. There are pool chemicals in the garage.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay there. Shirley was an awesome host and answered all our questions in a timely matter before booking our stay. The house and sleeping arrangements was just what we needed for 6 guys and you could hold 7 easily. The big yard and driveway was perfect to hold 3 bass rigs in the driveway in front of the 3 car garage doors. If we fish Chickamauga again, we will come back to this house if available.

Summary: Loved the stay it was souch a nice place great location and I loved all the little things that the host took the time to do like the beach towels ready outside by the pool and the flats that my kids loved fully stocked kitchen the back fire pit was perfect for s'mores . The host was very helpful and even took the time to make sure we made it home alright.... I would recommend staying at this wonderful house

Summary: The home is an older home with lots of room for everyone to spread out. The pool was great for our whole family, especially our grandchildren. The kitchen was well equipped. One room had a double bed that should be upgraded to a queen, as the mattress was not the most comfortable. And the home had a fair amount of breakables, so that should be considered when booking with children. The hostess was very nice. Checking in and out were very easy. The location was very close to lots of amenities; Children’s Museum, Aquarium, Chattanooga Choo-Choo, Car Museum, Clumpie’s ice cream shop, etc.

Summary: We had a great stay in Hixson! We had 5 adults and 3 children (ages 3-7). The community room was perfect for a single mom and the kiddos. The gated pool was a plus since we did have younger ones, yet there was plenty of yard to play and run. The property was secluded and quiet. The house was nice and had anything and everything you would need. No need to pack pool towels! There are plenty of games and toys for the young kids. Distance to Chattanooga was only about 15 minutes and was easy access to the highway. If I had to change anything, I would add a garbage disposal and maybe update shower heads but those are not deal breakers for us. We would stay again and Sheryl was great host!

Summary: My wife and i use VRBO on a whenever we travel. In six years this is THE BEST property we have EVER stayed at. Seven kids and two adults had the time of our life. Kids chased lightening bugs and swam on this huge property, and we never even made it to the creek. Awesome location, home, and host. The only reason we gave them five stars is there is not an option to give more. Cant wait to come back

Summary: Our stay was wonderful. The house is extremely spacious and the backyard is big. Everything you need is in the house and available to use. The beds were extremely comfortable. We were able to spend time with family without worrying about anything.
