Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Location next to the Soo Locks was great. The room suited my needs for the night.
Negative: The breakfast was not very appealing. The stairwell to the second floor had tools within reach, not great for people with kids. The furniture in the room was dated and one of the chairs had a broken arm. Visit was okay but could have been better!

Positive: The location is absolutely the best if you want to view and experience the Soo Locks and Sault Ste, Marie. You can literally walk 25 yards to the locks park and viewing stand. It's a little far but we also walked to the Valley Camp Ship museum, the Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours and Tower of History locations. (Basically all together in the same general area.) The motel itself is older, but they've done a nice job modernizing it. Staff was nice.
Negative: The motel is a little noisy, but not a deal breaker. To be fair, they did offer earplugs at the front desk if it was too much. The sound of the freighters transiting the locks didn't bother us, it was the thin walls and the noise from the restaurant next door. They offer cottages that are a little further back on the property that might be a little quieter. We'll probably try those next time.
Summary: Great location and value. We would definitely stay there again,

Positive: The room was spotlessly clean with wonderful thick towels and a comfy bed. It was also quite a large room with a very nice fridge and other amenities. It was within walking distance of everything you could possibly need. Restaurants, shops, coffee, and site seeing.
Negative: I wish the parking lot wasn't so small, but that's nit-picking.
Summary: Will definitely stay here again.
