Positive: I only stayed here for one night, but I felt it exceeded my expectation. The staff was lovely, the room is super clean and has all the amenities I need. The location is not ideal if you're planning to spend a lot of time in Ranong, but it's in a quiet area and I found it just fine for a quick stay before taking a flight the next day.

Negative: nothing ☺︎

Positive: The staff were lovely, they could not have been more helpful and friendly. They spoke perfect English and were easy to communicate with. I feel guilty giving a slightly negative review because they were so nice. Bathroom really nice with good toiletries. Kettle, tea/coffee, water and small fridge.

Negative: I’ve never complained about a bed being too hard but this bed nearly finished me off. It was rock hard and I barely slept in 3 nights. It’s basically a mattress on a raised wooden base. The air con worked fine but it was located around the corner from the bed so at night it took hours for the sleeping area to cool down. It was 40 degrees to be fair but it certainly didn’t help. The hotel has a minimalist, urban kind of look with polished concrete and exposed metal. For me it was too minimalist. No drawers for clothes, just a wardrobe stand. The WIFI was too weak to run my Amazon firestick on. Location wasn’t great. Minimum 20 minutes walk to the only tourist area where there are a few bars and restaurants. Impossible to get a taxi, no grab in the area and local Tuk Tuks only work until around 20.00. To be fair this is only a 2 star hotel and the price was fair but overall I was a little disappointed and very disappointed in Ranong Town in general. It has very little to offer western tourists. Ranong province is beautiful, my favourite in Thailand but the town itself is grim. Day trip to Koh Phayam was definitely the highlight.
