Positive: Everyone was very friendly, although when we arrived on a Sunday early evening, there was no one to be seen. We were let in and then they were gone. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Negative: An information folder would have been very useful, especially as no one was about. Wi fi pass code, nearest place to get a bite to eat etc.

Summary: Peaceful and a good opportunity to recharge the batteries

Positive: It was a beautiful property unfortunately the key system wasn’t working when we arrived but the lady on reception let us into the room with the master key. The staff were very friendly and helpful and an excellent breakfast.

Negative: There was nothing to dislike. The disappointment for me was that I wrote to the hotel to ask if I could check in earlier or use a room to change as I was going to a wedding. I ended up paying £25 early check in fee when other guests just turned up early and were allowed to check in this felt a bit steep as the hotel wasn’t full and the rooms were ready.

Positive: Location. Everywhere was within good driving distance. The hotels charm and decor, a beautiful building. The staff were largely friendly and very helpful and the food was lovely.

Negative: A mini fridge would be a great addition to the rooms. The noise from downstairs was a little loud on the Friday evening. A few more food options for pescatarians.
