Step into your private unobstructed panoramic view of Kootenay Lake. Two Bears 🐻 🐻 Cabin is nestled on a cliff overlooking the lake. A short two minute walk will take you to the lakeside where you can cast your fishing 🎣 rod, launch your kayak, or go for a swim. The large spacious loft includes one queen bed and one double bed separated with a privacy screen. There are multiple decks and pathways to the south, west, and north sides of the cabin allowing you to enjoy both Kootenay sun, forest shade and sunsets. The grassed area to the east is where you can have your morning coffee watching the sunrise. The kitchen is well stocked for all your cooking needs. There is a wood stove in the living room, and a fire pit just outside the cabin to add to your cabin getaway. Firewood is provided. As well, there is a community fire pit and sauna shared with neighbours at lakeside.
Given the placement of the cabin, you can enjoy complete privacy when you step inside or onto the decks throughout the day. You will be swept away into the enchanted East Shore Kootenay Lake where you can explore: an abundance of trails, beaches, and artisans, & enough eateries and grocery options to keep you entertained. You can take a 35 minute free ferry ride will access the west side of Kootenay Lake where you can: soak in hot springs, hike to a glacier, fly on a zip line, go spurlunking, or visit the historic communities of Nelson or Kaslo.
Our minimum stay is 5 nights.
Sorry no pets are allowed unless you are a returning guest with a dog.

Summary: This is the second time we have at 2 Bears! This time we were able to stay for a couple of weeks. The view is absolutely spectacular. The cozy cabin was spotless and so beautifully decorated. The lovely hosts had provided a beautiful welcome basket with local goodies (such a nice touch). The cabin has 3 amazing decks... one huge deck spanning the entire front of the cabin with unobstructed views of the lake, second a smaller cozy deck nestled in the trees perfect for reading with a view, and thirdly there is another large deck off the loft. Some people chase the sun...I chase the shade, so to have options to be in the sun or the shade was so appreciated. Bart & Elaine have made sure that the cabin is stocked with everything you need. They even have a slow cooker, which we used a few times. It is a magically place and the hosts are extremely responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend...just don't take my time...hahaha!

Summary: My spouse and I stayed at Two Bears Cabin for a week in May. It was exceptional. The cabin is beautiful and well-appointed, the outdoor decks and seating areas were outstanding, and the views were beyond compare. Summary: Really enjoyed our 4 nights at 2 Bears in the middle of January. The views, the quiet and a fully equipped cabin make for the perfect getaway. The hosts, Bart and Elaine were great to deal with. They were quick to respond when information was needed. Would definitely want to stay at this rental again.

Summary: Wow....just Wow......water lapping below your perch of a vaulted log home on a promantory over pristine Kootenay Lake with a verdant mountainous backdrop. Does it get any better? I think not! Quiet and peaceful with more amenities than I have ever seen in a VRBO or Airbnb. Bart and Elaine have created the most welcoming vacation for all of us.... with little touches everywhere, including herbs for our gourmet cooking! The beds and bedding oh so comfortable. Lovely quality. Thank you so much for accommodating us for just 3 days. May you prosper! Challamar and Joannie PS - good to let folks know how to shut off the hanging bulbs if they wish....!
