2 Bedroom Cabin in Nevis, Park Rapids

Vintage log home on a clear beautiful chain of lakes. 2+ bedrooms and 2 baths. Open for summer rental. Washer dryer. Loads of storage so you can literally unpack and move in. Large screened in porch for gorgeous views of the sunset. There is a fire pit to roast marshmallows . DNR (Department of Natural Resources) approved wood is available at the Dorset Corner.
Close to the Heartland trail, Itasca State Park and Dorset the restaurant capital of the World. Park Rapids is 8 miles away. Fishing and recreational lake on the Mantrap chain. There’s a boat landing and inspection site. No jet ski’s please. The cabin is very private and located on a smaller bay, so respect for our neighbors is a priority. There are 2 kayaks and a paddleboat to use. Theres a private dock for you to use as well. Please feel free to bring your boat and follow the strict rules of making sure your boats and water toys are free of any vegetation that could potentially harm the lake. Also, please contact the owner if you are bringing your boat. The dock is perfect for floating on a raft. Bring water shoes. It's not perfectly sandy but crystal clear. A fun place to snorkel . It's a beautiful lake for swimming, fishing, boating and relaxing and all the joys that come with staying on the lake.
There are several golf courses near by to enjoy as well. The Heartland Country Club being one.

Summary: The cabin was so nice and roomy, We spent a week there and everything we needed was there. We saw deer foxes a turkey all from the windows. We brought our boat up and had fish once a day.

Summary: My husband, adult daughter and I had a great visit earlier this month. Calling it a cabin does justice to its wonderful relaxing and hand-hewn character, but not to its size. The living room spans roughly 28' x 18' plus there is a separate sitting room, and large screened-in porch. The two main bedrooms were each spacious. The kitchen was well-equipped and we enjoyed the outside gas grill. We went canoeing from the dock on the property and played croquet on the side lawn. Both the lake and the property were peaceful. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. The Heartland bike trail, mini-golf and the town of Dorset are about 5 minutes away. It is also easy to access both Park Rapids and Lake Itasca State Park If we come back to the area, we would definitely stay here again!

Summary: This property is absolutely fantastic. Ginny and Dave provided a warm welcome and an in-depth walk through to familiarize us with the property. The facilities described in the advertisement met or exceeded all expectations. The lake, the views, the fire pit, the screened in porch and the surrounding area together provide the perfect ambience for a relaxing get away. We are planning our return next year. I could not give any property a higher recommendation. Thanks Ginny and Dave. We loved every minute at your cabin

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at Little Sand Lake. A beautiful location within a few steps of the water. The condition of the cabin was great. We loved the classic/vintage nuance of the cabin and fantastic location. If you're looking for solitude within easy striking distance of town, I would highly recommend this property. The time passed so fast, we needed another few days or weeks... Ginny and Dave met us the first afternoon to show us around the property and answer any questions. We felt welcome from the beginning. Ginny also assured us to feel free to contact them with any questions or concerns. Ginny was very helpful providing a pontoon rental contact for us. Kayaks and a pedal pontoon were available to us as well, which was fun in the early mornings and late evenings. We look forward to staying again next year!
