Summary: The setting was gorgeous. The grounds were completely overgrown. You really couldn’t get out the basement door. The front entry was overgrown. The whole yard was overgrown as were all the paths. It appears like the owners have not been there for months. The floors in the main level need a serious cleaning. The fan in the main floor bedroom was on high and when my wife opened the door to hang some stuff in the closet, the dust bunnies were scattered all over the room. Every shower/tub drain needs serious cleaning. They didn’t drain properly so you were standing in water in the shower. The house needs some TLC. All the screens on the porch were packed with cob webs and dust. This is a great location. It was disappointing to see the neglect.

Summary: Anniversary trip coupled with a four-day musky hunt, which was actually not husband’s idea but that of the super fishy wife. The quaint and yet spacious log cabin on Amen Lk worked out wonderfully for us.

Summary: We liked the uniqueness of the house. We were glad to be able to light a fire in the fireplace. It was very relaxing and had all the special touches in the house to enjoy our stay.

Summary: Fantastic location, quiet, secluded. The craftsmanship is next level- a lot of intention and skill went into building this cabin, and it makes for a great vibe. I’m a stickler for aesthetics and this is pretty much a perfect log cabin. Also close to Grand Rapids, which makes errand and grocery runs easy. Would definitely go back!
