Negative: Everything is outdated and even if cleaned smelled moldy. Bathrooms in particular show their age and the appliances could use a refresh. Additionally, the parking and the building itself looks and feels a bit.. unsafe.

Positive: We always look forward to staying here when we visit our family in Tahara. The bus from the station is convenient for those visiting the area by train. The breakfast buffet is great and something we look forward to every time we stay. Room is comfortable with nice views of the surrounding area.

Negative: Adjusting your schedule to go to the breakfast buffet around the large tourist groups is a little inconvenient but understandable.

Summary: An oasis in an area with limited hotel choices—we look forward to visiting again.

Positive: A friendly welcome from the staff. A huge, spacious, clean and comfortable room. A fun activity for kids to do with a lovely and generous prize on completion. Fantastic elevators. We hardly had to wait at all.

Negative: Lots of variety and delicious items at breakfast. It’s just a shame that much of the hot food (scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, etc) was stone cold. It’s a buffet. I expect that we were just unlucky with our timing.
