Positive: Walking in to Lomani was truly a "WOW" moment and you instantly fall in love. Lomani has the most incredible view up on the hill of the Somosomo Straight right from it's own pool, it honestly doesn't feel real! We cooked our own breakfast in the large kitchen, loved roaming the grounds to find fruits (like pineapples) and tropical flowers. The wifi and Netflix are awesome additions too, but we just found ourselves enjoying switching off and gazing into the stunning sunsets and showered under the stars. Knox was so helpful and picked us up from the ferry, drove us to the shops for supplies, and lots of activities, including the beautiful Bouma falls and we also snorkelled the insanely colourful rainbow reef (amazing dive shop just down the road!). Our experience was enriched greatly by Knox and we enjoyed our time getting to know him. Saskia is also a fabulous host who communicated everything we needed to know before our stay. Glass bottom kayaks and snorkel gear are also available but sadly we ran out of time to use them. There are so many activities to chose from, or equally opportunities to just relax, recharge, and connect with nature and each other. Knox even worked tirelessly all day to cook us a traditional Lovo on our final night at Lomani, which was so delicious and very memorable. It rained quite heavily during our time but it didn't dampen our experience at all. Lomani is a quaint cottage that feels cosy and spacious like home (but with ten times more incredible views). There is something deeply special about Lomani and we hope to return one day but stay longer than three nights. Taveuni is a tranquil, quiet, lush garden island teaming with wildlife, fruit, flowers and creatures (like frogs and geckos), along with such kind hearted people. Unlike anywhere we have ever been before. We are from a busy city and loved how Taveuni is the opposite.
Negative: I didn't want to out anything but my partner's only request to make Lomani even more perfect would be air conditioning -We made use of the fans but it did take a little while to adjust to the heat. This is such a minor critique though, and by no means would put us off returning! A future update maybe in the future, if finds allow of course :)

Positive: The caretakers were awesome. It was easy to organise everything through the owner. Diving and snorkeling next door. Great kitchen set up. Insane views! Comfortable bed and living space . So peaceful and private.
Negative: Go in November when there is more fruit on the property 😊 nothing we didn’t like.

Positive: My husband and I stayed at The Lomani for one night. The property exceeded our expectations. Saskia was very communicative and checked in to make sure that we had everything we needed and that our accommodations were fine. Kelera and Knox, the caretakers, were wonderful and attentive. Knox picked us up and helped us with what we needed - from taking us to the market, taking us back to the market to buy wine, preparing our Fijian lovo dinner, and taking us to the dive center. After a few hours, we considered Kelera and Knox to be family and invited them to join us for my husband's birthday dinner. They graciously accepted our invitation. We loved the pool with the heart on the bottom and all of the details of the property. The property was accurately reflected as in the listing and photos. We will definitely return to The Lomani on our next trip to Fiji and will stay longer.
